I have wanted to try this restaurant for quite a while and finally managed to make it! The atmosphere is rustic and cute. The restaurant looks clean and well kept. The food however was a big disappointment. We ordered a sampler platter and a plate...of BBQ nachos. The platter came with two sides and we chose to get baked potatoes and cole slaw with this meal. Let me say that the cole slaw was some of the worst tasting slaw that I have had at a restaurant. It tasted like there was some type of cleaner in it. After one bite, we both had to spit it out, the taste was that bad. On to the baked potato. You would think that you couldn't mess up a potato, but again you would be wrong. Both potatoes tasted like they had been baked the day before and then warmed up. The best that can be said about them is that they did come with plenty of butter and sour cream. The meat sampler platter had three different kinds of bbq meat. The meat is the reason for the 2 star and not 1 star review. The meat, while not the best bbq I have ever eaten, was at least cooked right and tasted okay. The bbq nachos were just this side of a joke. The cheese that was used on them looked and tasted just like the cheap kind that comes out of a can that we used to use on the nachos at the school fund raisers. Slimy and tasteless. This was poured over regular, run of the mill tortilla chips. Once again, however, the only redeeming factor in these nachos was the bbq meat that was on them. I actually LOVE bbq, but unfortunately, this restaurant just does not make the cut for having really good BBQ.More
