You can not eat all the food they serve

If you order from 'group menu' pay per person (<$14) you can not finish all they give you. Soup Bo-Bo platter, which is huge itself Full entree. Service was excellent.

Excellent lunch

The Egg drop soup was wonderful!! We loved all of the food and the service was great. Super quick for lunch!! Great place to go with friends or family.

Forgot how good they are . . .

As with living local, you sometimes forget how good a place is while trying others. Hunan Garden was the first Chinese place we ate at about 30 years ago. Decided to order since they now deliver. Food came VERY hot, tasted excellent, kids were happy. Was told the delivery time would be about 45 mins and I was fine with that. It actually arrived in 20 mins and we were excited. We will continue to order from them and not forget again.

Good, quick food

Ordered delivery at my hotel. Food came almost to the minute to their estimated delivery time~ well done. Order was perfect, good fried rice, and the orange chicken was really good~ not sickeningly sweet like some places make it. Very pleased.

Excellent value, good food

A hard to beat combination. We had the po-po [or was it bo-bo?] sampler app platter. Very nice presentation, and good – great value for under $10. Meals included moo shu shrimp and human 2 ways [pork and shrimp]. Both were very good, voluminous, and about $10. Service was excellent. Nice simple décor. I recommend.

Are You Kidding Me!

Realizing I grew up eating Cantonese food at the renowned Chinatown in NYC, most restaurants in KC pale in comparison, but this place is the poster child for how not to prepare Chinese cuisine. I ordered Shrimp with lobster sauce and their rendition was not even close to what this dish should taste like. All our other dishes were mediocre at best including the very worst Kung Pao chicken EVER. Are you freaking kidding me. Finally, those tiny morsels of rolled-up whatever that they call egg rolls were plain disgusting. This place is a disaster, unless, of course, you are a Kansas City native and you rated this place Great. What a joke!

Great take out lunch

Hunan is a great value for lunch. We rarely eat in the restaurant (although the service has always been good) because we get two meals out of one take out order. The portions are very generous, and the crab rangoon and soups are always good.

Nice little secret

We met friends here for Sunday lunch. We could smell the hot and sour soup when we walked in the door. There was no question that we were going to have that soup, it smelled so good. It was very busy but we were greeted and seated right away. Limited options on menu -all lunch combinations, but the good was very good. Quick and generous portions. The crab Rangoon were great! We took food home with us. Four of us had a wonderful lunch for just under $30! We will seek this place out again.

Best Chinese Takeout in the Liberty area

I’ve eaten in the restaurant once but normally just get a to-go order or just get it delivered. Very good quality and quantity for the price, and the staff is very nice. The location is in a strip mall and doesn’t really stand out so it’s kind of a hole in the wall sort of place, but definitely try if you’re in the mood for some good chinese take out in Liberty!

"Great Lunch, Outstanding Value"

This restaurant has been here for years and they still serve a great lunch for $5.95. You'll get a large entree, soup & egg rolls. Hard to believe that you can get this value, 7 days a week. Food is very good, servers are great, always made to order, so, food comes out hot & delicious. This is the best kept secret in Liberty for lunch.
