I thought I would only ever get to taste a fabulous cheese grinder from Mario's deli again in my dreams..instead I'm having one now!! I just picked one up from Jovitos, along with an oh so good dark chocolate cookie coated with powdered sugar. The...cheese grinder is amazing with a good amount of pasta sauce in it. Can't wait to taste the lasagna!More

My husband and I met here for lunch, and while the decor isn’t the best, our sandwiches were! We split the meatball grinder, which was the best one I’ve had in KC. The folks who own it are lovely, and the homemade desserts are also...a treat!More

One of he best family restaurants anywhere. Italian food including spaghetti and pizza are great as are the grinders. Top off the meal with a homemade cookie. You’ll be in heaven!

I met a friend for lunch at this unassuming joint hidden in a tiny strip mall on Stateline Rd. The menu said home of the original Kansas City grinder, so I had to try it out and opted for the meatball and my friend ordered...the sausage. We sat at a small table in well-used parlor chairs that swallowed us up—comfortable for sitting but not optimum for eating. The sandwich was delivered to us 10 minutes alter with a small bag of Lay’s chips. The sandwich was beautiful with a nice golden brown outside and all of the ingredients neatly concealed inside. There was a small rectangular cut on one end, where the cleverly inserted meatballs, tomato sauce and cheese. I cut it in two, and it was easily the best meatball sandwich that I have ever had. Tender meatballs, tasty sauce a bit of cheese and really fresh bread that was crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. There are lots of other good looking sandwiches on the menu, and I plan to be a regular visitor.More

We called in a take out order for lunch and it was almost ready for us after a very short drive. The lasagna and ravioli was some of the best we have had. The cookie assortment we picked out was just as good. Great place...to eat.More

Jovito's is a small Italian diner with some of the most tasty food my family and I have had. We sampled Fettucine Alfredo, Lasgna with meatballs, and a Panini. Every dish was wonderful. My husband said that the meatballs were the best he has ever...had, and the sandwich tasted great too. My Fettucine was perfect with just the right amount of sauce. The inside of the diner is cozy with a row of easy chairs around small round tables with assorted decorative pole lamps in addition to the usual square tables with wooden chairs. You order at the counter. The food came quickly and the staff was very nice. We took a brownie home, added some vanilla ice cream and it was also delicious. It was the perfect Mother's Day celebration.More
