I am a seafood junkie, anything that comes out of the water is okay with me...if you like good quality, hot fried fish, numerous choices of different fish and seafood, then, this is the spot for you...or if you prefer to cook your own, the...fresh fish seafood counter is ready to serve you....very clean, and does not smell of fish the moment you hit the door...also if you like really spicy, they have a homemade signature sauce, that will keep you dipping...I'm getting hungry for some, just writing this review....:-DMore
The owner is very friendly. We don't know if he does any of the cooking, but he works the register, jokes with customers, and visits tables. This was our third time at Mad Jack's, and we've always had friendly people at the register.
It does...help to look at the menu to get an idea of what you want to order because there are a lot of choices, and there can be a line at times. You can order dinners that come with your choice of fish, potato salad, cole slaw, and two slices of bread; or you can get boxes of fish that don't include the salad or slaw.
We like their hushpuppies. Oftentimes hushpuppies are rather bland. Jack's hushpuppies have a slightly sweet flavor. They are a bit smaller sized, though, so you might want to order ten of them (they come in quantities of five and ten). They have gumbo - it was good, but with my Cajun background it didn't meet my standards for gumbo.
They have a drive-through window for picking up call-in orders. They do catering, and they have a food truck, but we don't know it's route and have never eaten from it. They also have a fish market with fresh and frozen items including frog legs, crawfish, and lobster tails. It isn't a fancy place, but it is a comfortable place to eat and visit with friends or family.More
Many choices of fish and seafood either prepared by them or you can purchase uncooked fish to take home, they also sell their coating. So it is a restaurant and a fish market. So many choices it was a little over whelming to decide what...to get. Need to study the menu in advance as not to hold up customers behind me! Somewhere the locals go but tourists don't know about.More
