We have dined at the Webster House twice. Both times we were disappointed in the service. We were headed to the Kaufman Center for performances both times and perhaps they are overwhelmed on those evenings? We had big gaps of time where we could not find our server. This happened on both occasions. The food was good, but felt like... More

I absolutely loved my visit to the Webster House! The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff was friendly and well trained and the food was tremendous. The menu is creative and compelling enough so that if I were local I would want to come back often to try many more of the items on the menu. Great experience.

I was there for a business dinner on a group of 40 people. Dinner was delicious. We had a 4 course meal with wine pairings. The dishes came out together, food was consistently good. Special plates were served to the vegetarian at our table. Service was fabulous. By far, the lobster risotto was the best thing I've eaten in a... More

Even before entering, you have the sense you are in for something special. The building itself is an old school, beautifully renovated. The first floor is filled with gift items of all sorts and prices and a wonderful line of simple and elegant clothing. A series of dining rooms are on the second floor and on a quiet Saturday, it... This is a stand by favorite when I have guests in town and we want to share a special lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It simply never lets you down. The ambiance is so unique and you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. Upstairs in the restaurant area, it is a feeling of casual elegance. Amongst the... More

Sparse happy hour menu but what was there was good. Drink specials were nice as well but again, not a lot of choices. Service wasn't to the level I expect at a nicer establishment.

Arrived at 10:30 am for Sunday Brunch before the musical at the Kauffman Center. There were several other events in the area including a Comicon at the Convention Center 5 or 6 blocks away and the Kansas City Symphony Orchestra in the Kauffman Center. The Webster House was gracious to open their parking garage, located across the street, east of... More

After hosting a wedding shower for my niece the day before, we needed a place for the out of town guest to share Mother's Day with the future bride's family and made a reservation (3 weeks in advance) for brunch at the Webster House. The unique shopping on the main floor of this lovely 1885 school building was great for... More

You are greeted at the door to this beautifully restored school building. The downstairs is an interesting shop with everything from French antiques to soap. The prices are not unrealistic. The restaurant is on the second floor overlooking KC. Having the tables in smaller rooms makes it intimate. The service was beyond great. The food truly original and delicious. Coffee... More

We were here for a conference and went out to dinner at this wonderful restaurant. It's great that they have antiques and can shop here as well. The dining atmosphere was wonderful. The waiter was very attentive and informative and helped us with our food choices. The scallops on black Chinese rice was delicious as was the steak and salmon... More
