Other then the German beer that made me have to have a friend drive me home, this place was amazing 😉 . The waitress made suggestions based on some memories of what I used to live back in the day when my Mennonite grandma used...More
So excited to try authentic German-Austrian food and Grunauer did not disappoint! The portions are enormous, so be warned. The atmosphere is cozy (echte Gemutlichkeit!) and has a nice bar. The beer and wine selection is vast. Each dish had its own little twist on...More
This may be the best schnitzel I have had outside Vienna or Germany. Perfectly hammered out, breaded and fried. We went with friends and the place was packed. We did not have a reservation but the maitre d' gave us a table in the bar...More
Local family took us here. Great ambiance, good selection of brews at the bar. We spent 10 years in the Army in Germany, so the food made us very nostalgic. Staff were quick and friendly. Food was top-notch. We'll come back next time we're in...More

I would say in evening hours, it is primarily an adult atmosphere. I can't say that in the number of times we've been there in the evening that we've seen any small children. However, at lunch time, especially on weekends, I think things are more casual & we have seen small children there a few times at lunch on Saturday, which were not an issue with anyone, as far as I could tell. Enjoy your visit!
