I had eaten here over 20 years ago, and honestly I don't remember if it were good or bad, so I decided to try it again. I am sorry that I did. The greeting was great, but the service and food were VERY poor. Other people who had come in after us were getting their food and leaving. This was... More

If you like rich N.O. flavor and want a laid back experience this is definitely the place to go! The BBQ shrimp was so good we ordered an extra basket of bread to soak up all that yummy BBQ sauce! Red beans and rice with andouille sausage yummm. The beignets are really good and perfect with the chantilly cream. My... More

We have been here before. Friends were visiting from Canada & each time they come to visit we try to take them to a different place. The server was excellent. He was patient & friendly. One in our group was very picky about what to order. The server was very patient & helped guide her with what to order. He... More

Being a native born Cajun, I was excited to discover this restaurant in KC! However, I was pretty disappointed. The hushpuppies weren't real hushpuppies, the fish was bland and underwhelming...and I found it to be generally average and blah. However, my Saint Louis-born husband loved it, so it's all relative. The atmosphere fun though the restaurant itself is slightly noisy... More

We've eaten here once before and love the food! Great casual laid back environment. Authentic creole and Cajun dishes. I love the crab cakes and the crawfish creole. Friday nights is popping with live music!

I came to the restaurant to enjoy some seafood with a very good friend. My first order was "The St Charles" . It had imitation crap meat in it & that gets very mushy after sitting in sauce for a while. I informed the manager that i was very sorry but i would rather have something else. He said he... More

It has been a very long time since we've been here. We were meeting friends for dinner & I suggested this place. Weall were very pleased with the food & service. A nice plus is the live music. I had the Chicken A La Mer. It was very good. Good portion, very tasty. My wife had the shrimp salad &... More

The "Jazz" kitchen restaurant is a great place for Cajun food, in my opinion. It's as authentic as some popular Cajun food places in KC. The one close to KUMC hospital is a rather small place but during the Lunch time I've not seen anyone waiting for a place to sit. Great atmosphere, great "Cajun" decorations on the walls and... Went for a quiet dinner date here recently. I wish I had come sooner. I really enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Plus some live jazz pleased me to no end. Will go again with another beautiful lady.
