I've both eaten dinner here and taken it to-go and I definitely prefer getting it to-go. The staff (I've only ever seen one woman working, presumably the owner) is kind enough, but not the friendliest. The food is delicious, however, so it's one of my go-to spots for yummy take out!

One of our lunch favorites, very good all around. Food and service always pleases. Brazed beef and garlic pork top my list, but I have always enjoyed every single item I've tried.

I just had lunch here with a couple of co workers. For only 8.88 a person including tax there are excellent specials to be had. Each special includes rice, a vegetarian egg roll, and egg drop soup. I'll be back again sometime.

Chinese food with No Taste, spicy was sweet, lacked taste, and was for a flavorless American tastes. Not worth a stop nor s try.

For $7.99 you get a soup, rice , spring roll , crab rangoon and a huge potion of which ever meal you want .I got the General Tso chicken and this reminds of the way Chinese food is made in California .I will try again and they also have a Chinese menu for Chinese if you want to try some legitimate Chinese food .

New Peking is a good standby for me. The food is good, and the price is right. They used to serve wine as well, but the last time I went, that wasn't an option. They hot and sour soup is good, and they always offer a great value for lunch.

Typical (albeit a cut above most) Chinese with a few specialty dishes (like house beef) that are excellent. Staff is always pleasant, food is hot and fresh, soups better than average. They had a fairly recent price increase and still remain very reasonable and competitive.

This is an update from previous review(s) I have made. We come here once or twice a year while we are in town for the NASCAR races. We always order the 3 or 4 serving-meals. This time we ordered the 4 servings for 3 people ($20 each). You can order 4 different entrees. All the food is top notch but be sure to try the sesame chicken. They bring you more food than anyone can eat so we normally get to-go boxes and take them back to the hotel for late-night snacks. The service is always good and always friendly. The atmosphere is what you would expect.

I have usually driven by this restaurant when getting around Westport, but not stopped in for a meal, but I'm glad I did this time. They have a nice dining room area, with a number of booths and tables. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Our server took good care of us, and made sure our drinks were filled. Our orders came out fast and hot. There are quite a few selections with some specialties for New Peking and they are freshly prepared and very tasty. I will definitely be back again!

This Chinese restaurant sits tucked away in a common shopping plaza around the Westport district; the decor is rather plain and a bit dated. However, it features tangy, authentic dishes with generally good service.

We loved this out of the way Chinese place in the Westport neighborhood of Kansas City. We loved the House Chicken and the Mu Shu. The food was brought promptly and was very fresh.

House chicken was awesome mushu chicken was wonderful. Crab Rangoons were good. Wish we had just ordered regular dinner plates rather than family style as we had a ton of food; Which makes for a wonderful leftover. Enjoy if your in the Westport area. And NO wait at dinner time.

We often order take out from New Peking, although the dining room looks lovely. We live in the neighborhood, so we enjoy eating at home. We have always been satisfied with our selections. The egg drop soup, crab Rangoon, honey chicken and pork fried rice are just some of our favorites.
