We were visiting KC this past weekend and decided to go back to WFM. Although this restaurant, arcade and bar is a little rough, they still serve a great burger for a fair price with a smile. We will return again. They earned it.

Best Burger in Kansas City

A Kansas City classic. This establishment has been voted as having the Best Burger in Kansas City since the 1980s. Cooked to order and then they call out your name when it is ready. You dress it yourself. Sports Bar atmosphere. Won’t look like much from the outside. Go in and enjoy the burgers!

Good old reliable eatery & gathering place

I had not been back to the WFM when visiting KC from STL for years. It was just as enjoyable as b4 or better. A group of local friends and us arrived late last night. We all had their terrific mini flea burgers that come with a side for a very reasonable cost and they were great. They have a huge variety of beverages too. The place is still huge and quite unique. We're glad we went and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Disappointed

Went because we heard these were the best burgers in town! Spoiler alert, they were not. Just plain burger, no tomato lettuce etc. Fries undercooked. Got cheese fries, the “cheese” is a cup of tepid nacho cheese sauce. Cash only. Disappointed and will not go back.

Undercooked food, unorganized

Burger was literally uncooked when we asked for medium rare, it was basically a raw cow. Picture below. Also, the couple we were with ordered after us and got their food (we all ordered the SAME thing) 20 minutes before us. We watched them fulfill mobile and doordash orders repeatedly as we stood there waiting. Overhyped bar food.

Really Good Burger…but Nothing Else

Great burgers!!! Onion rings seemed frozen-nothing exciting there. Remember to bring cash. They do not accept cards. There is an ATM but only allows you to get $60. Price was fair. Except why do you have to order food and then drink separately? Doesn’t make sense. Facility needs an upgrade, in my opinion.

Great Kansas City Experience

We came here for the Kansas City Chiefs Special - $1.69 hamburgers! They opened at 11 am and there were already 100 customers standing in the cold waiting to get in. Fun and games for kids, adult drinks for the rest of us. Great food and a great atmosphere!

Amanda the bartender was amazing She was running around like a crazy person all not making and delivering drinks, while always having a smile on her face. I sat at the bar and watched her work on purpose really). Amazing job. Her customers should be pleased. I was.

Best staff in KC

I love this place. Great food, drinks and great prices. I come here to eat, drink or watch a show and I loved the staff so much I decided to host a comedy show here and it was great. Will definitely be back soon.

Still a great place to go

Went in today because we were close by and hadn’t been in a couple years.I had the best patty melt ever, and ice cold beer. Service was friendly and quick. It’s a laid back place with a couple pool tables, a few pinball machines and a good view of whatever game you want to see on tv. It’s cash only but that’s ok, the prices are really reasonable and we hit happy hour and were surprised by how good the prices were. From here on we will make it a point to go more often, nice to know it’s still the same great place with a local laid back vibe.

Awesome experience with friends

Was visiting with a friend (July 2020). Got a burger and fries. Cooked perfectly. Juicy. Friendly staff. Have arcade games as well to play afterward. Highly reccomend if looking for a cool place in the Westport area to go with friends during this time.

Unimpressed for all the hype

Food (burger) was marginal; it really had no taste. Service was sub-par. Everyone from the bartender/order taker to server to cook had a chip of their shoulder. First time here and the last time.
