We took our grandchildren to Fritz's Railroad Restaurant located in the Crown Center after a visit to another area attraction. As we arrived around noon on a Saturday, there was quite a line waiting for a table...as sign we were in for good food and an interesting experience? Fritz's is a local burger & fries type of place with a... More

This place is busy when it comes to the weekend and lunch time. We ended up waiting in a line just to get in the place. Luckily the line moves fairly quickly. Once inside it reminded me of a diner with trains above your head delivering your food. You basically decide what you want call it in on a phone... More

Fun atmosphere and surprisingly good burgers and fries. We went during the week in the middle of lunch and made our way to the end of the line. We were happy to see that the line moved quickly. My 6 and 7 yr old love the engineer hats and decor. It was also really fun for them to order via... More

We thought we were going to have a long wait because there was quite a long line to get in, but it moved rather quickly and they have a big "Train" that was quite entertaining from all sides for the kids while waiting in line! Service was very friendly and fast food was Great!! Our 3 year old grandson (and... More

Great atmosphere especially if someone in your group enjoys mechanical things. Your food (hamburgers, hotdogs, etc.) are delivered via an overhead trolley system, dressed like a train locomotive, right to your table! Food is fairly good but be aware that wait time can be long as thus is a popular place. There are three locations in area but we only... More

This is a great restaurant for kids. They give you railroad hats and a toy train delivers your food. My two boys loved it. It does tend to be a long wait as lots of people like going for the novelty.

This is a cool diner where there are trains that deliver your food after you place your order over the phone. The food was fairly decent and fairly cheap. If you want soda they do charge for refills. The trains are the main attraction though.

Although I am a fan of the original location, the location in Crown Center is great for a larger group. Food is the same quality, and you cannot help but get excited at any age when that bar drops and you know the train is delivering your food!

It's not the foot but the atmosphere that makes this place so fascinating. I suspect that we were the only adults in the place. A must food stop for those visiting with children. They will love the railway theme plus the fact that the food is delivered by an overhead train. Hamburgs, etc, OK, onion rings huge.
