An unforgettable experience Ate at Jaspers last week it was amazing a day I will never forget. The food was excellent especially Osso bucco pork shank it was so tender and amazing. Our waiter was really nice and always checked on us regularly. The owner...came by and asked how we were doing which was nice. Definitely will go again and maybe try the table side Cesar since we didn’t last time.More

We are doing our best to deal with Covid. I was so excited when restaurants opened back up but Jaspers apparently sad F@ck it. The restaurant looks exactly the same as I remember it preCovid. They sat people at the table right next to our...table. My wife may have been three feet from the people next to us. They had booth next to booth with people in both. I hope the health department shuts them down. This place is a Covid super spreader waiting to happen. I left this review on google but somehow jaspers got it taken down. I have more faith in trip advisor. Oh yeah, their food is average and over priced. Go to Lidia’s or North better food with people that care if you get sickMore

My friend and I went to this restaurant for the first time to grab some lunch, catch up and enjoy some visually appealing Italian food. This visit ended up being the most horrific, traumatizing, and publicly humiliating experience either one of us has ever had...in our 30+ years of living. My friend, who is also a mother, had her two boys with her, 9 and 2 years of age. Two year olds are far from perfect when it comes to staying in one spot, even for a short period of time, and she was already reluctant to go out. But she did it and did her best to keep her kiddo in check. We even sat around the corner AWAY from the active and busy deli side, in hopes to try not to disrupt anyone else's meals. This apparently was still not acceptable to the owner, who decided to take matters into his own hands and address the little boy himself. From around the corner we could hear a man yell at the child to be quiet. Our visit was immediately over after this happened, and we proceeded to leave the restaurant, but not before the owner held a verbally aggressive argument with my friend, yelling at her and telling her that this was his restaurant and that she needed to get her kids under control. This was then followed up with very VERY loud name calling by THE OWNER, who proceeded to yell: "GET THE F**K OUT OF MY RESTAURANT YOU F**KING C**TS! THIS IS MY RESTAURANT, GET THE F**K OUT YOU WH**ES!". The verbal attack did not stop there unfortunately, even after we had left his restaurant. The owner, as well as another worker of his proceeded to follow us out of the restaurant and into the parking lot, yelling and cursing at us the entire time, this all happening in front of other customers and children. Not ONCE did we disrespect or call anybody out of their name, but he was very quick to do just that to us, and then some. This man had absolutely no regard for anyone else that was within earshot of or around the establishment, and neither him nor the other co-worker yelling at us were wearing masks, despite the signage on their doors requiring all patrons to wear a mask within the restaurant. Needless to say, not only will we never ever come back to your restaurant ever again, but in addition to this review, a formal complaint has been filed against you from the both of us, through the Missouri Attorney General and Better Business Bureau. You take care sir.More

We were given the Jaspers cookbook some years ago as a gift. We’ve tried many recipes and liked them. So when we were passing through Kansas City, we had to try out Jaspers. Overall, we felt rushed and the food was okay. We were seated...promptly upon arrival and that is were the “experience” began. Our waiter came over within a minute of sitting down to take our drink order. Appreciate the promptness but we didn’t have time to review the menu. The rest of the evening went that way with him. Had to order appetizers with entree so that was a couple of more pushes to move along. The food was your average Italian restaurant fare. We liked the salad that came with the entree but the rest was more Olive Garden like. To top the evening off, there were two tables of loud folks that made it hard to hear. I’m glad they were enjoying themselves but beware of the acoustics.More

From the time we arrived, the service was excellent. Our server was attentive, efficient, & friendly. She came by often to refill waters & check to see if we needed anything. We were there with a group of 10, to celebrate a friend's birthday. We...had a private room pre-arranged. I had a Caesar salad, which was disappointing. Not much flavor. I had chicken parm & this was very good, tasty sauce. For a side I asked for pasta with garlic & oil, instead of red sauce. I get this most of the time when eating at an Italian restaurant. This was not so good. Some places do this well, others do not. This place does not. My wife had eggplant parm & said it was very good. Prices are higher than most other Italian restaurants in the city.More

Service was excellent- attentive but not hovering. Silverware is good quality has weight to it. Appetizer - calamari was excellent. Main course- salmon was excellent, ravioli was wonderful! House special tortellini dish was great! Dessert- portions were not too big nor too small Coconut cake...was moist. Death by chocolate was decadent. Cheesecake delicious. Our mother was thrilled. Some noise as it was a busy Friday evening, but table conversation was not affected. We will be back!More

The service was great. The waiter was very helpful in explaining different items on the menu. He was not hovering but noticed when we needed attention. The owner made his rounds and checked on the tables. The food was good.

This is a family owned restaurant. I have eaten there several time and it is consistently fabulous. The food is rich and delicious and very authentic. Jasper will come by your table at some point and see if you are pleased with your food. I...have traveled all over the world and if I had a choice for Italian this would be it.More
