My husband and I went for our 1 year anniversary to the Majestic and we can't wait to go back! We dined downstairs in the "jazz" area. I had made reservations ahead of time and told the restaurant ahead of time that it was a...More

Love the atmosphere and the food was very good. Price wise for a high end steakhouse it is actually very good. For the price that many steakhouses charge for just the steak, Majestic includes the sides and soup or salad. If I lived in KC...More

From the minute you walk in the door till you leave, it is amazing. The bar area has the original tin ceiling, the bar is old and beautiful and the bartender loves to talk about the building and its former use. Quite a historical building....More

My wife and I ordered a ribeye steak and a kc strip. The atmosphere was great but the steaks are not what I would expect for a 40-50 dollar steak. The ribeye was fatty, tough and gristly. I would go back for the music but...More

I ordered the bone-in filet steak which is supposedly one of the rarer cuts of meat. I'm not a steak connoisseur but I couldn't tell a difference between it ($56) and a steak half its price. My asparagus was disappointing too, being very thin (out...More

To look at the facade, one would never guess what kind of a dining treat you are going to experience. The food and service was excellent and the price was very fair.

Went for dinner Friday evening before my nieces graduation. Had heard great reviews and some not so good. Steak soup was ok. Nothing special. We had a variety of steaks. Again good. But definitely not worth the price. Quite frankly I've had as good or...More

The service (Brett) and the restaurant itself are fantastic. The food was average. Great wine and whiskey list which was reasonably priced. We were seated in the Jazz lounge (lower level) right next to the piano player and we could still have a conversation and...More

The Majestic Restaurant carries on the Kansas City traditions of great food and great jazz. We serve brunch Saturday and Sunday, lunch Monday-Friday, and dinner seven nights a week. Featuring Kansas City's best dry-aged beef, chops, and seafood and located in the historic Fitzpatrick Saloon building at 10th and Broadway in downtown Kansas City, The Majestic Restaurant offers a true Kansas City dining experience like no other. Enjoy a great steak and fine wine in our main dining room alongside a grand bar dating back to 1910, or have dinner in our lower level jazz club, the site of an actual speakeasy during prohibition, all while listening to some of Kansas City's best jazz musicians seven nights a week. An extensive wine list, creative cocktails by nationally renowned bartender Shawn Moriarty, a list of over 100 whiskeys, and a sinful selection of delectable homemade desserts provide the perfect accompaniment to the meal and the music.
