Went for dinner Friday evening before my nieces graduation. Had heard great reviews and some not so good. Steak soup was ok. Nothing special. We had a variety of steaks. Again good. But definitely not worth the price. Quite frankly I've had as good or...More

The service (Brett) and the restaurant itself are fantastic. The food was average. Great wine and whiskey list which was reasonably priced. We were seated in the Jazz lounge (lower level) right next to the piano player and we could still have a conversation and...More

Great decor in this historic building. Excellent, friendly service Outstanding wine list by the bottle, but the by the glass offerings could use an Italian red Appetizers were tasty. The caesar dressing was watery and lacked flavor. The wagyu strip steak at $60+ was tough...More

Live Jazz and decent steak, although service is sub par. If you like cigars, upstairs there is a reasonable cigar bar, A LOT of history to the building.

Made reservations for 6 pm and were told we could enjoy the table til 10 pm. How fantastic is that? Enjoyed the live jazz and the lower level ambience. Tons of history here you can feel. Ordered the best seller, "Majestic" steak and was utterly...More

Great local steakhouse option! They have a nice menu of wide variety. The salads were fresh and tasty. The bread was unusual and delightful. The steaks were solid, enjoyable. They are not world class steaks, but really good. The server was distracted and we had...More

Description
The Majestic Restaurant carries on the Kansas City traditions of great food and great jazz. We serve brunch Saturday and Sunday, lunch Monday-Friday, and dinner seven nights a week. Featuring Kansas City's best dry-aged beef, chops, and seafood and located in the historic Fitzpatrick Saloon building at 10th and Broadway in downtown Kansas City, The Majestic Restaurant offers a true Kansas City dining experience like no other. Enjoy a great steak and fine wine in our main dining room alongside a grand bar dating back to 1910, or have dinner in our lower level jazz club, the site of an actual speakeasy during prohibition, all while listening to some of Kansas City's best jazz musicians seven nights a week. An extensive wine list, creative cocktails by nationally renowned bartender Shawn Moriarty, a list of over 100 whiskeys, and a sinful selection of delectable homemade desserts provide the perfect accompaniment to the meal and the music.
