My wife and I grabbed a Saturday lunch there this weekend. In the COVID Age, all staff were wearing masks, and meals were served on paper plates with disposable utensils. Was in Kansas doing shopping and needed place to have a quick dinner ؛ KC SMOKED BURGER was in my list ; it has a good look from out side in the historical area 39th st and Westport ; area is calm and beautiful ;...ordered Original Smoked Burger with fries ; it is delicious with different presentation and crispy fries; service was super by the young lady; the drawback is the noise ; there were number of people and not crowded but you will feel it is noisy; do I recommend it ; yes whenever I am in Kansas I will give a try.More

I really liked the way they bring the burgers to the table - on its own little smoker. I'd be interested to see if that's how the burgers are made from start to finish. I got the signature burger, and I was pleased. It had...great flavor. My only complaint is I wish the special sauce (which if I recall correctly was garlic-based) was a little more powerful. My wife travels a lot for business and last month she had a vegetarian mushroom and Swiss burger in Buenos Aires, Argentina that she absolutely loved. She wanted me to try one even though we're not vegetarians so she got online and looked and this...place popped up. We were out shopping already so we stopped in for a late lunch. As we browsed the menu we discovered that the mushroom/swiss burger was not vegetarian as she thought, but we went ahead and ordered because what we saw on the menu sounded pretty good. She ordered the burger and on a whim I ordered the Falafel burger. Both burgers were absolutely delicious! In addition to the food we found the staff extremely polite, but not fake. They chatted with us prior to our ordering, stopped by to see that things were going well, then chatted with us some more as we were tabbing out; very nice people! We've been by there several times when shopping along 39th Street but we've never stopped. That was our mistake and one that will not be repeated. Another first! Wow, my son found this place and I was thinking a burger! I can get a burger anytime! BUT! I’m glad I did not decide to go some where else. These burgers are delicious! I love quiet, middle of the week discoveries. Today I tried KC Smoke Burger Group. Located on the busy 39th street strip of businesses, a sign stated “Under New Management,” which gave me a new challenge. Pros- Decorated in a simple, cowboy theme, there were...plenty of large tables for parties of four as well as smaller seating tables. I was the only guest so wait time was not a problem. I kept my order simple, a burger with swiss cheese. The meal came with fries. The impressive presentation of the burger on a little smoker grill when brought to my table, was neat. The waitress then placed the generous sized hamburger on the bun. Served with a side of lettuce, tomatoes and pickles, it turned out to be very tasty. The seared ‘KC’ on the bun is a catchy touch. With a price tag under 10.00 it was worth the stop. Cons- The waitress should have come back at least twice to check on me; shortly after delivering the meal and half way through. A different person asked how I enjoyed my meal, but it felt more like an afterthought after seeing me there. Overall: I would return again to try a different item on the menu.More

This was one of the only places open on Sunday night. They have good presentation of the smoked burgers, but the fries are NOT fresh cut, but frozen crinkle fries. The chili fries made up for the so-so fries. His bleu cheese burger made him...smile. And I enjoyed the sauce for my pita plate. The meat was a little lacking, however. I didn't know anything about this place, but my son wanted to try it. I'm so glad we did! He ordered the double pepper cheese burger with jalapeños and it was huge! I ordered the original single cheese and it was also big. We both...ended up taking 1/2 of our burgers home. The seasoned fries taste great! The restaurant was not busy on a Saturday night at 5:00pm, but I predict it will be as word gets out! The waitress was one of the best and had only been there a few weeks. Each burger was delivered to the table sizzling on a mini charcoal grill, just big enough for one burger. Burger and fries range from about $8.99 to $12.99. There are also salads, gyros, and chicken sandwiches on the menu. I will return!!!More

These burgers are big. Flavor was great. The waiter was very nice. This place is a hidden gem give it a try.
