Delicious food! Amazing ribs that fall off the bone and have a delicious unique tangy sauce. Chicken is super moist and great on soft corn tortillas. Really fresh. All sides are amazing!! Corn, broccoli and kimchi potato salad are a must try. Atmosphere is really...unique but perfect for the laid back style.More

We love grabbing a family meal from poi-o. The ribs are some of my favorite in town and the sides are huge. There's always enough left over for lunch the next day. Definitely our go-to when we want a flavorful and filling meal. Added bonus...that the staff is super friendly.More

The restaurant was not what we expected. It is in a garage-type building which would be nice during the spring or fall when you can open the garage doors to enjoy the weather. It was cold and windy when we went, so we were surprised...that the garage doors were opened. Thankfully they closed them when they heard us discussing the fact. There were 11 of us and we all ordered the chicken served with house pickles, corn tortillas and sauces. Between us, we were able to sample every side dish offered on the menu. The Kimchi Fried Rice was the favorite side. Overall, we found we enjoyed the rub on the chicken, the variety of offered sides and sauce varieties, but the sides and drinks are way overpriced. Some in our group commented on the fact that there wasn’t a really hot sauce, while some didn’t care for those offered. We probably will not return due to the cost, but am glad we tried it.More

After all the reviews I read I was disappointed. Its overpriced and it's in a garage. Small sides ok chicken. Could have spent my $30 elsewhere

I cannot give this place enough stars! Super inexpensive and the food was to die for! We bought the half chicken and four sides and it fed three people for $30 (that includes the tip). Plus, we had left overs and ate it again for...dinner. The sides were AMAZING! We tried the elote, charred carrots, lemon potatoes, and the black beans... OMG! I seriously think I am going back today. I could eat their corn and carrots everyday!More

Poi-O is a cute place for make-your-own delicious tacos. Two varieties of meat are available – chicken and pork. Poi-O offers several varieties of self-made fresh salsas as well as bottled sauces. The condiments include pickled carrots, pepper, onion. Barbecued chicken is their specialty; the...pork barbecue also looked great. But, my reason for going there was to try out their tasty-sounding side dishes. The elotes (a corn dish) was excellent. The grilled broccoli was god but I will try another item next time. The portion sizes for the sides were ample enough. The prices are very reasonable, and the service is quick. Be ready to look for parking though, especially during rush time at this great restaurant.More

Saturday lunch. The name sounds more Asian than Mexican or Latin. You can choose either a half ($8) or whole baked chicken ($16) with store-bought tortillas and then add multiple $4 sides--such as corn, carrots, even cole slaw more common to BBQ places. Seating is...at long tables. Worth a second visit if in the area.More
