We entered with low expectations as we were traveling East and searching for a lunch place. An old venue. Friendly wait staff. I had a catfish sandwich. It was lighltly fried with a good flavor. My partner had chicken noodle soup (large bowl) and a BLT. Good quality and enjoyable lunch.

Good old school breakfast with awesome table service and so friendly people. I ordered the corned beef and hash w eggs and had a fruit cup. Nothing bad. So good with relaxing atmosphere.

Great breakfast best biscuits and gravy ever had and friendly service and reasonable prices. Good parking and hours of business were convient for breakfast hours.

Absolutely the worst experience of my LIFE. the Nastiest, most unclean place you could eat!! if you get a chance, look into the kitchen and that will make you walk out.

Horrible service

Worst! Brought my 94 year old dad, not busy at all, we stood waiting to be seated, workers walked by us repeatedly, did not acknowledge we were there for over 10 minutes, finally my dad couldn’t stand anymore so we turned around to leave as 2 people were walking in, they were acknowledged immediately, I guess we weren’t good enough to be seated I will never step foot in this place again

Excellent restaurant with friendly quick service and homemade style delicious food The meat lovers skillet was unique with plentiful bacon, ham and sausage cut into small pieces under the eggs; excellent.

If you like homemade, try this place

Our second time here. My wife had a mushroom burger and I had the top sirloin steak. There were not a lot of mushrooms on the burger and it was good, but not special. I had vegetable soup and green beans with the steak. I tried to order the chopped steak as I had it previously and it was great. The sirloin was good, but I would not order it on purpose. The vegetable soup looked homemade and it was really good. Total was $26.70 which is hard to beat outside of fast food. Overall, a good place to eat for good food.

Friendly staff & good food

This was our first visit to this restaurant and we'll surely be back for more. We went mid-morning on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded so we got immediate service. Coffee pot was left on the table (good move!) and the food was great at a reasonable price.

Great place for lunch or dinner!

One again I had breakfast at Red Apple Diner, and enjoyed their delicious Greek omelet. Excellent and attentive service and food. There are several good places for breakfast in this area, but Red Apple shares the top of my list with one other venue. These folks care about great food, excellent service, and they invite you to return.

Great food for a great price!

My wife and I live about 10 minutes from this restaurant, and have been wanting to try it for a while. We decided to try it today for lunch, and I'm glad we did. The aesthetics aren't anything to write home about, but it is clean, and the service is great. The food was really, really good, and we received plenty of portions. My wife had the chicken wrap, and she said it is the best chicken wrap she's ever had. The menu was very extensive, and they have breakfast all day long. I had the patty melt, and it was also very good. We will definitely return. I just wish they had an online menu so we could get food to go.

How many places serve a Greek omelet?

The Red Apple Diner is a family-owned, friendly place located in a building constructed as a Pizza Hut. Inside it has been thoroughly remodeled. They have an extensive breakfast menu with a wide range of entrees, sides,etc. They feature actual home made pies (varieties change often) that are great! Fruit pies and cream pies along with the occasional pecan, pumpkin and gooseberry. Whole pies and slices are available (for take-home if you wish). Service was top notch! I had a very good Greek omelet stuffed with all the right ingredients; generous portion. Strongly recommended if you want to eat someplace that's not a plastic chain!

Very good breakfast with lots of options

I ate at Red Apple Diner for the first time today. My choice was a Greek omelet from the extensive breakfast menu. That comes with two sides; I chose fruit and one biscuit and gravy. The omelet was very good, loaded with veggies, Feta cheese, and meat. The cut-up fruit was fresh. The B&G was, I believe, a commercial biscuit with (possibly) gravy from a restaurant mix. But remember that the omelet was very good! Near the door is a case with nearly a dozen pies to be sold by the slice. (These looked like Golden Boy pies which is a fine wholesale operation in the KC area.)

Great change from chains

We’ve eaten here three times and it’s consistently good with great service. I always get the Greek omelet which is great. Good coffee too. Eat here, let’s keep our independent restaurants.

Nice place for food and service

I joined friends for lunch at the Red Apple Diner on a week day. I ordered a breakfast and others ordered lunch items. We all enjoyed our meal and the service was very good. It was a good value for what we received. The decor is very plain, but adequate. There appeared to be many people that came there regularly and a lot of friendly conversations going on. I will be going back.

Nice Diner

Nice diner to have in this area. A very good menu with excellent family diner food. Note: breakfast is served all day. A casual restaurant with excellent service. Save room for some delicious homemade pie.
