Went to lunch at the Lees Summit location with a few of the guys from the office, I loved the food and the service was better than Chick Fil A’s! I had some fried okra and the Krab & Shrimp platter (#1) which has a...little bit of everything and it was great! I loved the seasoning, the portions were big enough I couldn’t finish it all. I highly recommend Krab Kingz Seafood! Looking forward to going back!More
After hearing so many reviews (mostly bad) I wasn't sure what to expect. I decided to try it out for myself and I must say that I was pleased. I got all of the sauces mixed together. My only negative is, they failed to give...me my cocktail sauce that they charged me for. The portion was perfect and I even have some left for dinner.More
At first appearance, I thought this would be a regular first visit, it's a new place, good location they need help with marketing but let's try it any way. My lady and I place an order for a #1 (best value) Krab & Shrimp Platter...($14.99 lunch/ 26.99 dinner) great price on the surface but then they deliver this platter to the table and before I could take a pix for my review. I found myself gobbling down shrimp, crab, potatoes, egg sausage and corn and the sauce which I will call the "juice" was honey garlic butter when seasoned everything including the egg, where they do that at? The taste was an explosion of fusion it was awful to realize that I couldn't eat anymore and because my partner in crime was sitting across from me smiling from ear to ear and I was sitting there with my fingers dripping in the sauce.I thought about taking a picture with my camera, so all I got was a picture of a empty platter. The dinner platter was enough for 2 people which was unreal. So my former crab place of choice was quickly forgotten which is why I say "Joe who?" Krab Kingz is an up and coming seafood choice. Causal dress for the mess but it's worth it. A must stop in KCMO.More
They have came a long way since they first opens last year. They redecorated the inside it looks very nice. If you have never been here before you order at the kiosk and they give you a ticket showing what you order with a number...that they will call out. When your number is called a sweet lady will bring you your food. I always get the Cajun butter but they have a variety of choices to choose from. Just be warned it does get messy but they provide crackers to open the crab, gloves, bibs and plenty of napkins to help keep you clean. When I went this last time I seen they added lobster to the menu and I was very excited and had to get it. If you are looking for good seafood you must stop by!More
Dropped in for lunch with the family. They serve really good seafood and the price is not bad for the Midwest. I got a crab and shrimp platter with a crab cluster, six shrimp, sausage, corn, a boiled egg and potatoes... a lot of food....They have a variety of butter sauces which are served poured over the food; tasty, but a real mess. The staff is surprising friendly considering that they have the type of decor that encourages takeout. It's dark and ugly in there! However, if you can ignore the decor or get carry out you"ll have a good meal.More
We took our 14 year old granddaughter for a mini vacay to Kansas City and wanted to treat ourselves to seafood for one meal. We googled restaurants near the downtown area and this place sounded great. We got there, and because of the lack of...atmosphere and similarity to a "Captain D's" type eatery, we almost turned around and left. Our granddaughter said her nose told her this was a good place, so we stayed. Boy, was she right! The food was some of the best seafood we have ever had, and we have had a LOT of seafood in our day. The snow crab legs were more the size of king crab legs, and the shrimp were huge! Add a big sausage, a boiled seasoned egg, corn on the cob, and lots and lots of potatoes swimming in the yummy butter, and it's a feast! The tab for three of us was almost $100, but there were enough leftovers for her to have a complete meal the next night in our hotel, and she still couldn't eat it all. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was the fact that the facility itself is so bare bones and more of a fast food type atmosphere, but the price is definitely geared for a sit-down nice restaurant. It's obvious they are spending all their money on the food rather than the ambience, so it's your choice which is more important to you.More
I heard of this place from one of the locals. I was pleasantly surprised by the great tasting food at a reasonable cost. The waitress recommended her favorite dish to me and it didn't disappoint. I am here on a business trip for a month...and will definitely make a few more visits before I leave!!More
