The atmosphere in this club is fantastic. The live blues/jazz is perfect, the old architecture, the lighting...all great. The place is a bit small and dark but it's exactly how it should be. Our server was a bit slow but we still enjoyed our visit.

The second time I have been to the Phoenix. The first time was at night when I arrive in town looking for some where open. Happen on to the Phoenix. Great local jazz, good food and vibe. Recently met a client for lunch. Nice options for lunch. Food and service was very good. Will be back again.

We recently joined the Phoenix for its Saturday afternoon jazz session. What a lovely experience. The beer was cold, the Jazz was hot, and the restrooms were really nice. If you love jazz, you should definitely check them out.

We walked in to the Phoenix before 7 anxious to hear some jazz (which sounded GREAT by the way). WE had our children with us who are older teens, but still under 21. We did not realize that minors have to vacate by 8. We waited a long time for someone to even approach us (figured out later they were... More

The live band was blues & Rock but they were really good. The club is extremely small, and our group of 7 probably put them above capacity. We were hidden at the back of the bar. The service, drinks & food need improvement. Overall good night out.

Twelve of us went to the Phoenix on a Tuesday night. We called and made reservations several days in advance. We were treated to open mic night and a wide variety of very different and talented musicians. We also had very slow service (one poor woman trying to act as bartender and waitress for the entire place) and mediocre food.... More

Great music and an incredible atmosphere! Reasonably priced entrees and drinks. Could have had more wait staff....our server was spread incredibly thin and seemed to have a hard time keeping up. We'll go back because of the entertainment!

The music was awesome. I liked the where the band sits, almost in the lap of the customers. The drinks were great, the service was great, but the appetizers were only OK. My friends enjoyed them, but I didn't. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we had an appointment elsewhere. I'll be back.

This place was pretty cool with its set up. The piano is right by the door and the musician was very interactive with the crowd. I only give it 2 stars though because I ordered a mule and it was terrible. I feel like usually a mule is super easy to make but his was really bad. It was basically... More

Really crowded, but an excellent jazz/rock club. Two different bands, one in the afternoon and one at 9. Talked to the musicians when they were on breaks (My husband and I are both amateur musicians) and had a wonderful time. The bathrooms are downstairs and the area where the bar is has two steps up, so if you have trouble... More
