Really enjoyed eating here. Sushi rolls are fresh, creative and delicious. I especially enjoyed the spicy tuna and the one with crab on the top. I will definitely be going back. We went not long after they opened at 7 pm and the place filled...up quickly!More

A little hard to find and located in a quieter part of town. Huge Nikkei style menu. Made fresh with a little waiting time, but worth it. Lovely friendly staff. Would definitely return

Really unusual Peruvian influenced sushi (topped with huancaina sauce, or olives and pulpo). But my favourite here is the tiraditos!!! Like a very finely sliced ceviche. They were also very accommodating of our vegan friend and made her special veggie rolls. And their pisco sours...are top notch too! Not super fast, but relax - it's very, very tasty. p.s. a lot of the best restaurants in town aren't open in the evenings, so this is a great dinner option!More

This gem of a restaurant is nestled in between houses in a residential area of Huanchaco, and reminds me of a speakeasy but with sushi. Clean and fresh, everything from the decor to the food makes you feel like you are in a little sushi...oasis in the middle of a dusty beach town. The rolls are inventive and delicious- I’ve been three times now and love the Ceviche roll and Spicy Kani rolls. The sauces are handmade every day and amazing. Adding to the lovely experience is the fact that the proprietors and chefs are genuinely kind and friendly people. This place is a must-see if you are in huanchaco!More

We loved this restaurant. The sushi was original and all the ingrediences and taste were perfectly balanced. It was a great experience, the service was lovely as well and the prices reasonable. Definitely a place to try while on a vacation in Huanchaco!

Came here over 3 years ago, food was amazing then. Came back with high expectations but my expectations were exceeded. Only had 2 days in Huanchaco and went to this place both nights. Excellent balance of flavours and textures, nice relaxed atmosphere and really appreciate...the effort and attention of the chefs. Wish i could go again, the food is really incredible and cannot speak highly enough of this place.More

We ordered for a big group, they helped us get a good combination of their sushi and gave us a nice deal! The sushi was fantastic! Weird location and could use a beter promotion with maybe flyers and signs giving direction. You can miss it...because of that but you should not go through huanchaco without eating there!More

I was at this restaurant a couple of times during my staying in Huanchaco. First of all, the location is very nice and cosy, the atmosphere is warm. The restaraunt offers a wide variety of sushi and also some japanese dishes.. everything I got was...delicious and well presented, especially the "fried" and the "spicy kani". Staff is english speaking, open to know stories about the tourists and professional! I strongly reccomend this place!!!!More

Though this is call a "sushi house", we actually didn't see any actual sushi on the menu. There were tiraditos (raw fish in sauce) and a large variety of rolls, but no actual sushi, which seemed a little odd. We order three maki rolls that...were each excellent, though none made with good local fresh fish (salmon and tuna, all brought in from afar). Service was great and people were very friendly. This is one of the very few restaurants open for dinner in the evening at this(south) end of town and it definitely serves the need.More

There are no words to describe the quality of this sushi. It is the best food I have ever had and we could not stop ordering extra. GO HERE!!!!!!!!!! And reserve to make sure you have a table. Look for the red luminated OPEN sign,...it's the first thing you see when you walk into the street. They also have cheap accomodation, wish I knew this on beforehand. The place is amazing! And they have sushi classes!More

I love sushi, I mean who doesn’t right?? But Peruvian do sushi different than Europeans. I feel like they fuse it with Peruvian cuisine and it just takes good. It’s freaking amazing. Acevichado sushi? No problem. Lomo saltado sushi? Easy. It tastes so so so...so good, but since I feel like they’re unhealthier I was craving some healthy makis, like the ones I eat here. I simply showed them a picture and asked if they could do me the favor to make me these, and they did!! It was so super kind, since at another restaurant they wouldn’t do that for me. They weren’t on their menu, but like 2 weeks later when I came again, they were also so kind to make me a special. The prices are good and so is the atmosphere, the service is excellent. The food is heavenly delicious.More

I visited Umi Sushi House a couple of nights ago for the 5th/6th time in 3 years. Words cannot express how much I love their Sushi. The quality of the ingredients is very high and the Peruvian creative touch of the chef makes every item...on the menu simply unique!More
