We were staying close to this place and enjoyed the food and drinks! Incredible Pina Coladas and Margaritas. The guacamole was outstanding. Quesadillas were great. Best of all was the view to the water and watching fishermen throw their nets, surfing, volleyball, and people having fun. Great spot for families as the kids can play in the sand right next... Dona Martha was always the place where I would hang when visiting Playa Majahua. This year, I must say, we were disappointed. The food was nothing remarkable, the limonada was the worse I ever had, the shrimp were tough and didn't seem fresh. Not sure what's going on - - Dona Martha is obviously no longer in the kitchen.

This place is a bit north of Troncones, which is 20 miles north of Zihuatanejo. Dona Martha is so fun and sweet. You can pick your fish out of an ice chest, then it's grilled and served with everything needed to make fish tacos. It's right on the beach in a lovely bay. Fishing boats come in and go out.

We couldn't get all of our group to come for dinner, so several of us came for breakfast. The fruit plate was a huge plate of oranges, apples, pineapple, cucumber(?) or something similar that was unexpectedly good in the mix. The others had typical Mexican egg dishes and great fresh orange juice. One had hot cakes with caramel sauce. I... More

We watched the waves roll in while we had a beer and nachos. Nothing special for me but my wife really liked Troncones.

Friends brought us here the first night to welcome us to Troncones. We loved it. Margaritas were great (not too sweet), the shrimp was so fresh I think it was moving and the lobsters were delicious, not overcooked. It's causal seafood- sitting in plastic chairs on the beach. It's perfect Mexico. We went back again we enjoyed it so much.

Doña Martha is one of many beach restaurants on Playa Majahua, on the north end of the Troncones beach area. To reach Majahua, travel north on Hwy 200 about 20 minutes, take the Troncones exit, follow the main road & turn right when you hit the beach road. Continue north, the paved road will become a dirt road. Eventually the... More

Mahajua is not to be confused with Troncones, although they are neighbors. This is in Mahajua, at the end of the beach road to the north of Troncones and around the corner on a little cove where a lot of the local fishermen live. Worth the drive for a more down-to-earth and genuine non-sanitized travel (not to be confused with... More

A tourist might keep on driving by. A 4seasons kind of girl wouldn't even be in the neighborhood. But a surfer, a traveler, an adventuress, a local or someone looking for more out of life will stop in & get more out of life having dinner here at Marhas. The food is fantastic, the view & sounds of the ocean... More

Out door dining on the ocean. Martha's has been serving Majahua for over 20 years. Fresh seafood daily caught right beside the restaurant. Come as you are and enjoy the great atmosphere!
