We stayed across the street and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat but a quick bite turned into a 2- hour ordeal. We ordered simple items like enchiladas, nothing complicated in Mexico. We noticed another table of folks cancel their dinners after waiting...along with us. Poor service and attitude to go with it, have eaten here before but the odds are slim we will do that again.More

Dinner to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with her family. Servers were very nice, but it took an hour to receive our food. My grandson’s dish took an additional 15 minutes to arrive. Tuesday live night’s Mexican Music was great. The food was generally very good...but Except for the Coconut Flan I would not recommend other deserts. The Chocolate Moose was actually just a chocolate pudding. The vanilla ice cream was OK, but nothing special. Atmosphere is great and lively. Although their dogs are cute, coming to each table many times for attention, and I presume for scraps as well, is not something I enjoy when going to a restaurant.More

Everything was fine. Until the bill came and my friends had cash and I wanted to take their cash and pay credit card. (It is difficult to come by cash in this area with my bank card). So I went to the desk where he...had brought their cash and they refused to let me take the cash and pay card. This is just bad customer service. We just spent a bunch of money dining in your restaurant, you will make your money off of us whether I’m paying by credit card or with cash. They probably pay a small fee to charge by credit card instead of cash. But that’s worth it to pay to keep your customer happy. I think this was terrible customer service and it left a very sour taste in my mouth. I chose to go to this restaurant because it had great reviews, and although I know that this was maybe a one off experience, it still shows the overall values and principles of the restaurant owner. They could have easily let me keep our cash and pay with my card but instead they refused to give us back our cash so that I could pay card instead. They hadn’t even calculated the change yet but they had taken the money and wouldn’t return it. I was very surprised with this bad customer service. Every interaction you have with the customer makes an impression and I think they should care more about what makes their customer return. It’s not just the food but the service as well.More

Well, you win some, you lose some. Last night was certainly NOT our night. It started off promising for our group of five. Drinks were pretty good...alcoholic (margarita, cervesa) and non-alcoholic (virgin colada and agua sandia). Unfortunately it quickly went downhill from there. Three of...our dinners were served almost an hour later. The Chile Rellenos con queso y papas was inedible. The arrachero tacos were mostly unchewable. Fish tacos were passably ok. Another 45 minutes went by before my husband and I were served...frequently being told “any minute now”. Once dinner arrived, sadly most of it was overcooked. And the “rib eye” was a flavorless, mystery cut of meat. Very ample, but disappointing to say the least. Maybe it was an “off-night”. Maybe Isabel was not the chef that night. But for certain we will not be returning.More

This is the worst restaurant I have eaten in here in Trancones. We were a party of 5, we live in San Miguel de Allende. We have been here in Trancones for 10 days, and this is without a doubt the worst food I have...eaten in Mexico. The Chile Relleno was not well prepared and tasted bad. The fish tacos “ Baja style” were not flavorful, and the tortilla inedible. The “rib eye” was not a rib eye and was an unrecognizable cut of maybe beef. The arracherra was filled with gristle. All in all everyone of the dishes we ordered was of poor quality and badly prepared. Safe yourself time and money... go elsewhere for a meal.More

We ate here for dinner twice. The young woman who owns or at least manages the restaurant is very personable and knows how to run a good restaurant. The service was excellent, the food was very good, chips and unusual but good salsas served upon...arrival. One night there was very pleasant live music. Definitely would return here next time we are in Troncones.More
