Most people here seem to be sharing their lunch and dinner at La Rustica. We had breakfast here and thought it was divine. I ordered the red chilaquiles with eggs along with a bloody mary and the kids had a traditional breakfast with pancakes, eggs, and bacon, and chocolate milk. None of us were disappointed.
The service was extremely good; the waiters were kind and helpful. And the prices were very fair. We would go back.

Margaritas, pina coladas, beer, bloody Mary’s, mostly everybody ordered something different so we could taste all the different foods.
Service was great, we loved the Decour, the food was excellent, and the drinks were fantastic.
We love the location and we WOULD go back.

This was a great restaurant to stop at after a day at the beach. It has a great location close to the beach. The restaurant is beautiful, including the bathrooms! And onto the food, the wood fired thin crust pizzas are a great choice. My mom had the cathode the day, Maui Maui with ravioli and sweet potato in a delicious sauce that was mouth watering. The salads our group had were also pretty great. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is because of the calamari that just didn’t stand a chance against all the rest of the food we had. Great wine and margarita selection as well make this a great choice.

There was a long wait to be seated and all these open tables and nobody sitting in them. Hostess staff needs training and more polite customer service skills. We did find a nice waiter that saw us frustrated, and after waiting 30 minutes, we ended up taking our pizza to go and eating it in the main plaza. The Seafood pizza was amazing, just wish we could have enjoyed it at the restaurant. Also, they have signs that say cash only, but there were able to take a credit card.

The service could not be more apathetic. The male bussers seemed to be a bit more enthusiastic but it was the young women who did what could only generously be called the serving.
The pizza was ok. Try Pizza Venezia. Much better atmosphere, pizza and service oh and the parmesan on the wound? Less expensive as well.

We ordered one cocktail and three glasses of wine. One pizza and one pasta dish and 6 oysters (which were sent back), $ 1800 pesos with a moderate tip.
We waited abnormally long. The server was pleasant but somewhat indifferent. My Pene Bolognaise was tasty and presented well however the portion was unremarkable after we left I was still hungry so grabbed some yummy street tacos. My daughters friend enjoyed her pizza. Crust and presentation was good. Nice flavor profile.
The Oysters were unacceptable. They weren't shucked properly so had to wrestle with it to get out of shell. They were not served chilled nor over ice (but they are on the beach lol). They were also served on a bed of sea salt which was very unappetizing . My daughter offered to paid for three but sent the rest back. They adjusted the bill but didn't remove it. The server did apologize.
The atmosphere is hip and groovy but our table was under the stairs and if not careful you bang your head. It should be taken out of circulation and maybe used as a bussing station. I ordered a red Mexican blend which was lovely wine but 18 bucks CAD was overpriced for the quality. My bad, didn't ask how much it was.
These comments are subjective and based on my experience at the restaurant and as an operator in the business. I am doubtful I would ever return. There are better options in town.

There seems to be a consensus among visitors to Sayulita that there is good food here. I'm sorry to say this is entirely untrue if you have a palette with even a modicum of sophistication. Granted, I live in NYC, and I have the benefit of an incredible wealth of elevated culinary experiences, whether they be street food or michelin starred.
The food at Rustica is touted in virtually every review as some of the best food in town - I would liken it to airplane food, at very best.
I had a bowl of mussels in a "white wine sauce" that tasted like a canned heavy creme had been dumped on it, and they put parmesan on the mussels!! Cheese on seafood?? and a vegetable pasta that was hammered - so overcooked the pasta ribbons were falling apart and the SAUCE must have been chef boyardee at best! They threw a bunch of whole pecans in the pasta for good measure - couldn't seem to find any vegetables.
I didn't taste the pizza, but I couldn't stomach returning for another experience. The service was fine and the atmosphere decent.
Street tacos here deliver and I've managed to find a decent shrimp taco at Baracuda. Despite the lack of a grill in the apartment we rented here, we've resorted to cooking the majority of our meals with resources from the local fish market and organic market, Terenal.

We stopped for a late lunch, the place was not very busy in middle afternoon. We were seated fairly quickly and the service went downhill from there. It took several minutes to be acknowledged by our waiter and then several more to take drink order. 15-20 minutes from time seated to drinks arrived, our waiter (wish I could remember his name) never returned to our table after introducing himself as our waiter. A different waiter brought drinks and pizza, we saw him sneak by several times but he would not make eye contact. The pizza was marginal at best, nobody brought chile flakes or asked if we needed anything. Once finished, the table was cleared ( drinks were left) I asked for the bill. We finished our drinks and the empties were cleared and I again asked for bill. A few minutes later our original WAITER peaked around the corner, I motioned for him to come over and the little weasel again disappeared. Finally asked another waiter for bill and it arrived. As we were leaving a girl who appeared to have some authority asked how things were, I told her how dissatisfied we were with lack of service and no tip. She offered apology and we left. We are very experienced travels and both sons are executive chefs. This was our only bad service during 9 days

Great spot for families, couples, or a group of friends. They have a large menu so there's something for everyone. We had the focaccia and caprese salad to start, followed by three different pizzas (the princessa being our favorite). Ours four year old daughter was adamant we not leave without dessert and we settled on the crème brullee, which turned out to be HUGE and delicious.
It is a bit loud, like most places in Sayulita these days, so if you're traveling with a noise-sensitive kid just be aware.

I love their pizza, the crust is thin and wood fire crispy, toppings fresh. The pasta was homemade, plenty of tasty sauce. Service was good too. Too bad they don't deliver to my hometown. A must stop when in Sayulita

My wife and I had a good dinner at Rustica. I know, why are we in Mexico and eating Italian food? But, my wife wanted something different.
I had one of the specials, which was an el dorado (mahi) fillet with squid ink risotto. It was very fresh and cooked nicely. Maybe on the salty side, but that may be the squid ink.
My wife had a pizza with shrimp, jalapeños, and avocado which was also quite good. We both had their house sangria that had a touch of ginger flavor in it.
Rustica is on the main drag and is one of the pricier spots in Sayulita. It wasn’t quite the gem as our previous dinner, but still a good spot if you don’t want traditional mexican food. They also take credit cards, which is convenient for travelers.

Our first visit to La Rustica. It was recommended by our concierge at the hotel. They have a varied menu with interesting and tasty dishes. Service was fine, and there was constant music provided by strolling musicians. We had a great time, but I was a little disappointed in the pricing. It was closer to hotel restaurant costs, rather than similar small restaurants.

it’s ok. not great, or super flavorful for the price, i think there are better pizza places in town although the ambience here is unbeatable. also definitely don’t get the gluten free pasta. they offer either zucchini noodles (probably fine) or rice pasta (huge mistake, is basically vermicelli?? in italian sauce). i got the rice pasta and the combination was bizarre to say the least.

Used to be a super good local deal. Unfortunately over the past year or so the portions have shrunk considerably while the prices have definitely not... The dishes are still tasting good but it’s all looking like half orders now...
Stick to the pizze that are delicious for a fair fare and enjoy a good overall experience.

We have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here over the course of a week. It is clean, well run, and convenient to town plaza. Their wood fired pizzas are excellent. The full American breakfast is filling, tasty and great value.
