These were the single best tacos this gringo food snob has ever had. And oh, BTW, I love just north of San Antonio, the taco capital of the United States.

We went out for supper here and really enjoyed our meal. This is a very popular place for both lunch and supper and there is usually a short wait to get a table. The food and service were both good and would recommend this restaurant.

My husband became extremely, violently sick from food poisoning from the cheese chili rellenos. Very high fever all night, vomiting, diarrhea, dry heaves. I was lucky, with terrible stomach ache. Symptoms hit about 2 hours after we ate. Something seemed off when they brought his...food almost immediately, and I waited about 15 minutes for my rellenos; made us think that plate had been sitting out in the hot kitchen…More

Food was good. Unfortunately three of us got food poisoning. We think it was from the salsa as the one person who didn’t eat salsa didn’t get sick and the two of us that ate a lot were very sick and the person who ate...a little just puked once.More

Best fish taco ever! All the good here is So fresh and delicious! The staff are great. Was in Sayluita for a week and tried a couple other places but nothing compared and kept going back. Met lots of fun travelers sitting at the outdoor...tables.More

The best burrito and enchiladas!! Food as good as everyone says. Very busy every night. Portions are large. Margarita came in a plastic cup (and to my taste, not fresh squeezed lime juice).

Wonderful dining experience at Mary's once again. My wife and I had eaten at this great little restaurant on our previous trip to Sayulita, and it is still one of the best restaurants in town. Kelly had the shrimp quesadilla and Mary's taco, comprised of...shrimp, cheese and avocado, while I had the steak burrito, with rice and beans, and a fish taco. The food was perfect, just a great meal. Service was quick and efficient, which added to the whole experience. Mary's is a must if you are in town.More

We had delicious food at Mary’s. I wanted to write an ode to the mole but I don’t know how to write an ode. Other standout was guacamole with big chunks of avocado and ripe delicious tomatoes. Just delish. Recommend most highly.

It is a block from Sayulita Plaza a two blocks from the beach. It is tucked into the shops on the cobblestone street. Picnic tables on the street with umbrellas and tables inside. Street vendors all over. The restaurant employees are very friendly. It is...cash only. I had grilled shrimp tacos and pollo (chicken) empanada.More

We came here for dinner and were very happy with the food and service. Sayulita was very crowded when we visited but we didn’t have too wait too long for a table. The food was very flavorful and the fresh guacamole was great. We would...recommend Mary’s to anyone visiting Sayulita.More

Not sure about why the high ratings. Good was very basic, portions are huge so may be that’s the reason? Not sure. But would not recommend.

This place was amazing. Fresh shrimp, fresh fish, homemade salsas, huge portions, great margaritas, not rushed and fairly priced. We ate here twice it was that good. And we are foodies so we seek out quality. I have no idea how others can complain about...exchange rates. Pay in local currency. Don't travel like a gringo. Show some respect. Sayulita has become touristy so there is attitude that apparently is here too. We will remember our meals here as perfect.More

The food was fine, service was quick. Not worth the hype so don’t trust what every tourist says about this place. BEWARE IF YOU USE USD. They require cash so they can make up their own conversion rate and take an extra 30-35% of your...money. If you confront them about the conversion because you have something called “google,” they get nervous. Lastly, they will refuse to take any bills that are slightly ripped or marked - it has to be perfect.More

Ok I have come to the conclusion that not everyone knows what good food taste like. 4 people ordered different meals and not one dish was great. The shrimp in the tacos were great . Side walk seating was good with lots of street action...passing by. I tried eating my second dish and decided I would go back to our condo and have cold Miranda’s great pizza slice from the night before. Our service was good and attentive which made it still an enjoyable evening. Based on all the good reviews I should try here one more time one dayMore

Oh yes, and garlic powder. That's essentially the sauce...lil olive oil, lotta butter, and as much garlic powder as you'd like (for me it's ample).
