Went back two nights in row for the homemade pineapple basil juice (hibiscus strawberry is also yummy) and vegan-vegetarian tacos - just ask no cheese. Also tried their guacamole, its very tasty. You will get a generous serving and choice of salsas and sides. The tacos portions are otherwise fairly small but perfect for a small person like me :)... More

Just a really gourmet style Mexican place. There is no menu, the dishes are out together with the fresh ingredients that the chef buys at the market every day. You can certainly mention certain tastes or whether you are a vegetarian. The dishes are sophisticated and delicious. The setting is by the beach and relaxed, but not a party-cheap-tourist place.... The people who run this little place are lovely. I had fab steak tacos and shrimp ones. We really enjoyed the good food and warm service - don't miss it!

You've probably never had one of these! Fried cheese, stuffed with all kinds of meats and veggies. Come hungry! Lots of different vegetarian taco options!

We tried this restaurant because of how highly rated it was on Trip Advisor. The waitress was wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The itacate burrito, which is fried in cheese, tasted burned. The marlin tacos were just ok. We just weren't as impressed with this restaurant when there are so many terrific choices.

Sweet mother of god the Itacate is THE best thing I have ever tasted!!! Yummy chicken and vegetables wrapped in fried cheese and bacon bits. We ate at 2:00 pm and weren't hungry until the next morning. Two Itacate burritos and six beer set us back 300 pesos. Just plain crazy good!!!

This food is among the most amazing I have ever had... and the folks who own/run it are wonderful. I ordered tacos and then thought to ask what an "Itacate" was and was told that it is like a burrito, but instead of it being wrapped in a tortilla, it is wrapped in - wait for it.... FRIED CHEESE!!! Utterly... More

We went to Itacate about every other day during our visit to Sayulita. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I requested vegan tacos each time I ate there and they were able to tell me which tacos contained dairy, and which didn't. Wonderful experience with the helpful staff. The food is absolutely delicious and totally affordable! If you don't... More
