Stopped in for lunch today and was not disappointed. We shared multiple items including Carnitas tacos, shrimp tacos, Queso Fundido, and Itacate. The Queso Fundido was the best I’ve experienced anywhere and the tacos were huge and tasty. The selection of salsas made everything come...together perfectly. And the guys running the place were friendly and the service quick. Bring your appetite, because you will need it!More

I can't say enough about how amazing this food is. The empanizado tacos (breaded chicken) are AMAZING. Make sure you get the special peppers on it too. I think I would rank them in the top 10 bites I've ever had (and I've been to...enough amazing places around the world to make that worth saying). Don't miss the queso fundido either. Or if you are really game, try the burrito where instead of a tortilla, they roll it in a crispy fried cheese thing that will knock your socks off. And of course, the agua fresca. They usually have a pineapple/basil one that is to die for. Go ahead and get the big one.More

Cool little street taco shop that had the best (itacate) cheese wrapped burrito. We had the steak version, along with beans, rice, guacamole, chips, grilled onions, and 3 types of salsa. Everything was wonderful. Can't wait to get back there.

Tried the itakate, alambre, and queso fundido. Nice size portions accompanied by tasty salsa, onion, beans, etc. Everything was super good!

Great restaurant at a low cost! From the upstairs outdoor patio we enjoyed our food and beers while people watching. We had the itacate with veggies which is basically a burrito but instead of a tortilla of flour it’s cheese!! Fantastic and have dreams about...it 2 months laterMore

El Iticate is authentic, amazing, street fare. You will not find better tacos in Sayulita. Highly recommended.

always make a stop here for some el pastor tacos...the fresh hot sauce offerings are great. Love making a stop here then walking across the bridge for some fresh churros for dessert

Heard Itacate had great tacos, but I was unimpressed. Meat was bland, only helped by some salsa. Even then, taco was boring. . . Had a fish taco (marlin, with cheese) that tasted weird - didn't like that type of fish. I won't come back.
