The location is outstanding, the fish beautiful, the service comically sad! They don't take credit cards which isn't a problem but "ATM down there instead " isn't great and when asked for a rose proescco, sparkling? a growled "All rose is sparkling, like the green wine" is just a comical response. Fish restaurant refusing to fillet fish?.....you couldn't make it up... More

We had lunch here last year on or holiday but reading the recent reviews, we nearly didn't go back. As we were on the beach on our last day we thought we would try again for lunch and we were glad we did. The prawn spaghetti is very good and the service met expectations. The staff were friendly and prompt... More

The food here is about as good as it gets. Very rustic food. Proper home cooked. Lovely. The staff are really nice and the view couldn't be much better. The seafood has to be tried to be believed. Superb little gem in the crown of Salema

We visit the Miramar every year during our annual fortnight in Portugal in June. This year was no different and we ate there three times - the duck rice is still our favourite but we really enjoyed the lamb curry and chicken curry which we hadn't seen on the menu before. I'm really surprised to see the recent poor reviews... More

The only positive was the waiter who was very apologetic for the appalling service from the kitchen. The food was expensive for what you where given and the quality and taste was very poor. Soup was inedible. Just not a great experience

Although we have been visiting the area for many years we had not eaten at Mira Mar., so we called in for lunch and got a table at the front of the terrace with fabulous views. We ordered salads, with saute potatoes to share. As I was quite hungry I asked then for two lots of Saute potatoes and was... More

Visited Miramar for lunch. Service was slow. Waiter was indifferent. Menu looked good. Lots of choices and Special Board was interesting. My wife opted for the Tapas but was disappointed with the presentation and the stale taste. I opted for Dourada but it was undercooked with blood in the middle of the fish. We all make mistakes I thought but... More

Good food nice view. Service was ok. Don't take tapas plate, small and overprice. But pork with clams superb and black pork kebab good. Go early the place was full at 1930.

My husband and I visited this restaurant in late September and we were happy to find place to eat right by the sea. As usual most of those places with great locations are not very good, simply they do not have to try hard to run the business as into comprising to places hidden away. We have ordered starters and...
