You will need to book or come early to get a table outside. The food is super simple and very well done. Very good value for money too. Can't fault it.

The view is wonderful and the waiters were polite and you didn't feel rushed for your table. Good was good. Would return.

Great seafood, not great, under ripe tomatoes in the salad. The calamari were wonderful! The waiter not so friendly...

the food was great, the waiter was humorous, and it is located right in the village. Good value for the price, and a real treat were the fresh strawberries topped off with a generous amount of whipped cream.

Basic food, friendly staff. Cheap. But met all expectations. Overall a very pleasant basic lunch looking over the sea which was nice.

As always on our trips to Portugal we visit the Boia Bar. Laid back, child friendly, excellent food and friendly service. Restaurant is right on the sea front and on warm summer evenings it is a pleasure to eat there and watch the sun set! Reservations are recommended during busy times and they speak great English, so don't be afraid... More

Rated on TA, so went. Had to reserve. Waiter was great, gave us an outside table closest to rail for great ocean view. I went there for the cataplana. Disappointing. Fish stew over noodles ended up being a few pieces of fish and one shrimp in a very watery tomato based soup with small macaroni noodles, like you'd get out... More

Visited Boia with short notice table for 6. Very friendly greeting. Excellent meal with my wife's sea bass filleted perfectly. Wine, food, dessert and coffee all very high standard. Never been disappointed eating at this restaurant!! Going back Friday.

The Boia Bar is not about the dining experience, its is quite informal, right by the sea, with staff who seem to want to get you in and get you out again. Don't get me wrong the staff are not unpleasant but rather abrupt. The food was ok, in fact it was not bad at all, a mixture of local... More

We have been to the Boia several times on every visit to Salema and it never disappoints. Location is top class, and all the staff are super friendly. The menu hasn't changed much over the years, but hey it doesn't need to. Will return again next year!
