Fabulous Meal and Dinning experience

Visited Brimibue last night and my taste buds are still tickling. We had the 4 course meal and wine flight to match and although it was expensive you get what you pay for . The food was sublime and the wine pairing match each course superbly. Our host , owner Tina could not have been more helpful explaining each course and adding to the whole experience .Locally sourced produce was used where possible , some from a farm up the road from the restaurant . The setting for the restaurant is fabulous ,with views of the Jotunheimen national park from the large glass windows . The kitchen is on full view and the young team worked so well together producing top notch food. If I had to choose a stand out dish it would be the Ling in langoustine sauce with sun blush tomatoes and mangtout . You will not be disappointed if you dine in this fabulous restaurant and I would recommend to everyone .

Excellent lunch. We tried this place for lunch on a rainy day just passing thru. It was quick, fresh, and nice atmosphere. There were only meat options on the menu however the chef made me a special buckwheat risotto which was delicious. Great choice !!!

Overrated, wont be going back

It takes more than a name above the door to create a good restaurant. The restaurant has an air of trying too hard, creating an atmosphere which is neither relaxing or friendly. It is over priced, the portions are small, we had to go buy snacks after we had tried the 3 course set menu. While the food is well presented it was somewhat bland, customer service does not appear to be high on managements agenda although our waitress was trying her best. This is our second and last visit here, there are better and more friendly places to spend time in Lom. I note this is listed as nr1 for quick bites, that seems to be inaccurate, this is a sit down restaurant.

Delicious food in a modern setting!

Brimibue was just as nice this year as last year when we first visited the restaurant. Spacious, modern with a good atmosphere this is a nice place to have lunch as we did. Local dishes made with passion and great tastes. Highly recommendable.

Fantastic utilisation of fresh, local, healthy, sustainable material.. I loves the smooth composition of sakt, sweet, bitter and occasional local herbs.. Kods even ate most of the dishes..

There are few restuarants

There are few restuarants to choose from in Lom, I would recommend avoiding Brimi. The food was acceptable however management were arrogant and extremely rude.

Apparently the best place to eat in Lom.

BrimiBue is very pleasant restaurant with great food and very fair prices (for Norway). When we came here we knew that we had a made the right choice. But there are certain specifics: - the menu is limited and fixed for each day, so you can decide which day of the week you want to visit if you want a specific dish. - you must order and pay for food on the counter, then sit down and get served

Undoubtedly the best place to eat in Lom

We were staying in Lom for one night. The big question was where to eat. We looked at few restaurants in the centre of town and none of them looked too promising. When we came here we knew that we had a made the right choice. We did not eat very much - a soup, salad and a dessert. However, the ingredients were obviously top class and it was all prepared with a bit of style. The restaurant itself is very pleasant.

Good food, limited menu

The restaurant is very nice and it has very good food, for fair prices (for Norway). However, the menu is limited and is fixed for the day, so you might want to decide on what day of the week you'll want to visit, if you want a certain dish.
