Basic but very good

One of those simple French restaurants which is empty at 12.00 and jammed by 12.45. Film set setting in Oppede le Vieux, simple menu and rickety tables. But the service is friendly and efficient and the food is fine. Plus a good range of ice creams around the corner.

A 10 day group cycling trip. Many chances for coffee and Orangina. But this cafe gets the nod as the most idyllic of the trip. The location is a big plus (you can walk up to the abandoned castle just across the street with big views of the surrounding area). And then sit back and enjoy your coffee and a... More

This little place fitted the bill for us in so many ways - great food, wonderful setting, friendly service, in a cute village square right out of an old French movie. We loved the fact it was so good yet in an out of the way location, making it even more special. Before the meal we walked up the hill... More

After our trip in Paris, the plan was to go south to visit a friend of us. He told us to stop by at this place.. We had one of our best memories from our trip in France!!! The food was just amazing, in every dish you could see the many efforts done by the cook..The restaurant was completely full,... More

We only called in for a cup of coffee and the waitress was clearly unimpressed as she was busy laying tables. We asked for 6 grand cafe creme which duly arrived. Half filled cups (1 cracked) of warm liquid which cost €4.50 each. Such a shame as its a pretty place, but cheerless.

Clearly Sir, thanks ! It's a very good occasion to remind people again here that LE PETIT CAFE is at Lunch Time FIRST a RESTAURANT or at least a Wine Bar, but not a coffee place ! Even at this time on some tables not still layed for Lunch, it could still be considered as a (Provencal and French) Bar,... More

This is a lovely spot to sit outside in the village square. Casual restaurant with good food and service...or just stop by to enjoy a beverage after hiking through the village.

Location of this restaurant is perfect, a pretty roadside terrace looking up to the beautiful old village of Oppede-le-Vieux. At night time it was very pretty. We had booked a table, (recommended) and were greeted warmly. The restaurant was busy, but service was efficient and friendly. The food was excellent; there were 3 choices per course, presented on a chalk... More

The name means exactly what this cafè is, a small coffee bar in a small medieval village. The lady has been very kind and the menu is enjoyable. For a refreshing moment I suggest you to order a "diabolo au lavande", a sparkling soft drink with a touch of lavender syrup, very thirst-quenching after a climb up to the hills... More

As mainly of the testimonies show it here, our customers like our way to welcome them and to make their lunch or dinner at Le PETIT CAFE a charming & good time in Provence. And with excellent food and wine of course... But for you sure that this particular day was certainly not a lucky day, wasn't it ? From... More

Stayed across the street in La Belle Nuit. Dined 3 nights in a row because the atmosphere, food quality/price ratio is unbeatable. On top of that, excellent wine list with excellent by the glass choice as well. Menu does not shance often but tried all three different main plates during 3 nights, all were excellent. Nothing fancy but typical great... More
