Interesting stop. Very old Victorian home ..1880s. Lovely dining room...table clothes and linen napkins. UNIQUE menu..atheistic Russian selections. Family run...wife from Russia. We all enjoyed our meals. Lunch $7-12 Do not pass this one up....

Just left the Belarusian baker. Had an amazing time wonderful service and baby friendly. The food was outstanding and definitely home cooked and was way better than any restaurant I've had before. The borscht is to die for the shashlik was superb and desserts were perfection, they have a great selection of wine and very fancy yet comforting atmosphere. I... More

I wanted to surprise my wife with for Valentine’s Day. Thought we’d try the Belrussian Baker read good reviews and wanted to try some place we hadn’t been before. I have to say overall I was disappointed. I made reservations two weeks ahead of time. We arrived and were greeted shortly after by the owner’s son, cute kid. The owner... More

Belaussian is a old Victorian home decorated beautifully. The food was great which I had the chicken and reasonably priced. Would be great for a great family advent or celebration.

Food and wine were great, actually, spectacular! Atmosphere was too. Service was a bit to be desired. Very shy and withdrawn waitress. Had to go find her for more wine, etc. and there were only four other people in the place. Will sure go back because of the great prices, food, and atmosphere.

Loved the historic atmosphere of this family owned cute little gem of the Midwest. Food had that heartwarming home-made touch to it, with custom made from scratch salad dressings and pickled veggies. Borsht was absolutely amazing, and the kiev's cottlette and open marinated chicken were great. Plenty of old dear to heard american cuisine items on the menu, so anyone... More

We had a groupon & I felt so bad using it because the food was so good. Best $9 meal for 2 ever. My husband got the buffet with the fried catfish; it was lightly fried & tender. He was suspicious of the cilantro dressing, but it was delicious. The Russian potatoes were perfect. I had the chicken Kiev &... More

Very good food at this restaurant. The building looks good for its age and gives it a different vibe but could use some updating

Made from scratch. Truly a divine eating experience! Can't wait to visit again! The strawberry, blue cheese burger, was heaven on a home made bun! One must try the peach bread pudding made with homemade cinnamon rolls and topped with a scoop of home made vanilla ice cream. A very quiet and friendly atmosphere.

Fresh, homemade, and delicious. Loved the Borscht, fresh baked bread, house made pasta, and Shashlik. Honey cake a must. The wine and coffee selections were great! I love being able to get ethnic cuisine, just a short drive away from KC. YLocated just off of I-70 in Higginsville, MO.
