Stopped here after the Haunted Hannibal tour. Looking for a light supper before returning to the B&B and checked to see if they were still open. It was close to closing, but the invited us come in anyway and cheerfully took our orders and made us feel welcome. Food was good and I highly recommend their rootbeer. It is made... More

Ok Maidrite ok Onion rings good, Milkshake great, BUT After we ate (thank goodness) a different waitress was standing at the hostess station and repeatedly combed her long black hair though with her fingers. This went on for a number of minutes. Going in and out of kitchen There seemed to be a lot of people working, I am assuming... More

I was pleasantly surprised at the Chicken salad I ordered. It was very good. My husband had the special Cuban sandwich with onion rings which he liked. This place is nothing special to look at but the food and service was worth the visit.

We took an out of town guest here for lunch while shopping in Hannibal. We shared the onion rings, and she could not stop talking about the awesome ranch style dipping sauce! Homemade root beers were really nice too, as were our sandwiches. Food is moderately priced, tasty. Decor is a tad outdated, but the historical photos and memorabilia is... More

Homemade root beer, root beer floats, tenderloin and maid rite sandwiches, and delicious onion rings all of these and more await you at the Mark Twain Dinette. Located next to the Mark Twain Boyhood home this restaurant is a great place to eat, take a load off your feet or just relax.

Very good burgers and onion rings. A lot of food for a modest price. We ordered the foot of onion rings and it came with 3 sauces, it was more than the two of us could eat. Nice wait staff.

I'd just say, keep it simple, maybe with a milk shake or home-made root beer. Hamburger was OK, chicken fried steak, maybe not - unless you groove on gravy..
