This quaint little diner is perfect for any meal or a sweet treat! The breakfast was delicious and the waitresses are as sweet as the homemade root beer! You can take home a gallon for $5. Definitely have a root beer float while you're there! They have true diner fair and it's cooked to order and delicious! The pancakes are... More

This is the place to go for good old fashioned breakfast especially if you're hungry. You get plenty of food for a fairly reasonable price.

The staff is always friendly with the atmosphere of a home town restuarant. The Maid-rites, onion rings, and home made root beer are our favorites.

They're known for their maidrites, which are now only $2.00 each everyday, and root beer, but I love their tenderloins and onion rings. They have half foot or foot. They have various items to choose from and a nice selection of desserts as well. Great for tourists and families. Located next to the boyhood home and Becky Thatcher home

Super good. Extremely low prices. Hardly any wait time on the food. Our waitress was very friendly and kept my root beer filled. Btw the root beer is amazing. I made mine into a float for dessert. It wasn't fancy but it's home cooked meals, which I'm down for. Recommend it for everyone.

After reading other reviews about this restaurant, we chose to stop here for supper expecting good food and good service. Boy was that the wrong expectation. We are not hard to please people and after waiting a ridiculously long time (they were not busy as it was past the dinner hour) we finally got our food which was cold. I... More

I had the Fried Chicken, fries and Rootbeer. The chicken was excellent, not greasy but nicely flavorful. Fries were ok. Corn? No longer serving it. Rootbeer was very good with a strong licorey note.

The food was excellent. Our only problem was the service. On this particular day they may have been short handed. We seen our server every thirty seconds for the first couple of minutes. Would not give us a chance to look at our menue's.( Took us about 5 minutes to decide and when you have small kids thats not bad.)... More

Sometimes one seeks out the unexpected. At other times one just wants a good selection of familiar menu choices that will please a variety of tastes. In search of the latter, I’ve found that any diner that prides itself on its “classic diner menu” is usually a good bet. The Mark Twain Dinette in Hannibal, Missouri, is one such diner.... More

Every now and then--- maybe three or four times a year--- I get an overwhelming urge for a really good burger. Since the Broadway Bar is, sadly, shuttered, I thought I'd take my chances here on my way home from work. Now don't get me wrong: I've had a really good burger here, but this must have been an off...
