I wanted to dine at '88 at the Elms and was pleasantly satisfied. We dined and some youngsters celebrating prom were in attendance. Brought back fond memories!

We have stayed here 3 times over the past year. There is always something to see in town and the restaurant is absolutely excellent. We were a couple doors away from the Truman Suite and I beleive it is open to visitors. Wonderful history.

I went here for my birthday weekend and not only was the historic building awesome, but it had a romantic feel at night. The bed was literally the best bed I've ever slept in. Planning to go back there soon!!!

I had lunch by the fireplace at this very historical restaurant at the hotel. The food, ambiance, and service were awesome!

I write this review on our 17th anniversary, it seems like yesterday, we checked in after a short 2 hour drive from our home town, "sorry we do not have your reservation!" but don't worry..." said the gentleman. We spent the night in the President Suite!, The Elms is a hidden treasure, beautiful hotel and we hope to stay there... More

We came for dinner while staying at the hotel and utilizing the spa. Great experience at the hotel and spa, but not the restaurant. Filet mignon tasted freezer burnt and had no flavor. Pork medallions were not medallions, just a small, thin, dry pork chop. The waiter was friendly but not properly trained. He touch led the rim of our... More

My wife and I really enjoy getting away from Kansas City once in a while and when we do Excelsior Springs and the Elms is the only place to go. Good quality food at decent prices and a great peaceful environment. The 88 at the Elms never seems very busy and we like it like that. If the weather is... More

Superb service at dinner andthey were amicable to special requests. Delicious dinner!! Breakfast buffet was great! They appeared to be very understaffed at breakfast, the wait staff was overwhelmed. Do not know,if today was an exception, but i stead of eeling relaxed, the place was frantic.

We had a great breakfast in an attractive setting. Our server was very friendly and took care of us. For an upscale Restaurant the prices are pretty reasonable.
