I’ve been going to this place for 12 years ands I have never been soo disappointed. We ordered 2 lbs Of Brisket to go and it was soo greasy the bowl slipped out of y hands and the bag was converted in grease. Not to...mention the grease semoe in the bottom OCD the meat. More than half of our was nothing but far as well. No flavor. Taste like it was made in the crockpot at home not in a smokehouse. Idk if it was even brisket and it cost 15$ per pound.More

Our family of 7 ate here Saturday night. We are from St. Louis and have many excellent options for BBQ. We were seated quickly and had excellent service. But the highlight is definitely the food!! We all ate something different for dinner and everyone loved...their meals. I personally had ribs, the meat literally fell off the bone and had a nice smoked flavor. My son said his Reuben was the best he’s ever had… my husband had the fried chicken special, and it was very good. Others in our party had pulled pork, BBQ chicken, and catfish. High praises for all meals. . Nice selection of sauces on the table. One note.. they do not serve alcohol, if that is important with your barbecue. Sizes are generous and prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend!More

Given high merits by the food channel. I'm not convinced they ate at the same place. Our mixed platter of brisket and turkey were filling but not BBQ. I lived in Austin Texas for 30 years and I can differentiate between what is and what...isn't BBQ. It tasted okay, not offensive, but bland. There were plenty of sauce choices to put on it. The coleslaw was tasteless. Now, the potato salad knocked it out of the park.More

We were told that they were out of red wine, pork cutlets and several of the desserts. They also only have a beer/wine license so there is no full bar. The brisket was just ok and the smoked turkey was so dry it was almost...inedible. The pulled pork was bland even after we added BBQ sauce. Would not come back.More

We were in Cuba this past Saturday and wanted to catch an early dinner before heading home. A quick check on MO Hicks website helped us know their broaster chicken was an AUCE special on Saturdays. Sounded great to us. Two of us had the...broaster chicken and she just wanted the smoked chicken smothered nachos app. The half chicken with 2 sides and TX toast we learned at the register is $13.99 each. It was not on the menu but it was excellent in our opinion. I think they offer AUCE ribs on Sunday. The service was very good and appreciated.More

I have eaten many types of BBQ in all the popular places. Texas, North Carolina, Kansas City, Alabama and Memphis. Missouri Hick is different but very good. I chose the 2 meat platter. BBQ Brisket and ribs with Mustard Potato Salad and Baked Beans. The...ribs are huge and like the brisket they have a perfect slow smoked flavor. The other gentleman at my table ordered ribs and one of their massive stuffed BBQ baked potatoes. One of the largest potatoes I have ever seen. They have a vast array of sides including German potato salad, Baked beans, corn on the cob, sweet potatoes, green beans, Mac and cheese and so much more. . You will also find the atmosphere really cool with a western rustic flair. Definitely a place worth checking out and you will find the portions are large and usually you will have plenty to take home.More

I eat a lot of bbq. A lot. Anyhow, this is located not far off the highway, Great decor inside and outside. Prices very reasonable, $16 for three meat platter with two sides. Good selection of sides. I got ribs, pulled pork and brisket. The...ribs were the star, tender and not over seasoned. Pulled pork was above average with a good amount of burnt ends mixed in. The brisket was average, it was pulled and not sliced-which tends to create dry brisket. Addition of white toast and pepperoncini nice touch with meal. Side of mustard potato salad was top rate, homemade, and good mustard taste. They were out of poppy seed coleslaw, so the waitress just brought me American coleslaw that was store bought. She should have checked back and I would have changed my side. Speaking of service, it was a younger girl and it was ok but has room for improvement. The meats were a bit cool upon service, they need to turn up the temperature on their meats and serve them hotter. Dessert of apple dumpling was delicious and homemade. Priced at only $4. Perfect dough and cinnamon sauce and ice cream seemed higher quality. Definitely worth the stop if passing by or if you are local.More

Very good barbecue in a warm setting with friendly service. When we visited, most of the customers looked like locals--always a good sign. We shared a sampler plate and were glad we did--the portion was huge. There is outdoor seating on a patio and an...upstairs screened porch.More
