what i like about the chicken sandwich is so very good at the same time as the pretzel bun i like the seasoning and the flavor of the chicken sandwich It is thicker and the flavor was delicious
The second I took a bite of the smoked pulled chicken it was delicious and I also had onion rings were too delicious. The BBQ Sauce was sweet. The sandwich was cheap but delicious! WOW
The smoked chicken sandwich was good. The chicken covered the entire hamburger bun. The steak fries were warmed and seasoned.
I order the chicken fingers and they're delicious and tasty. I had BBQ sauce to dip them, it was sweet and good. Even adults can order chicken fingers!
We ordered 14 orders for takeout. The service was polite and accommodating. I dropped off the order the day before so it would be ready the next day 30 min after they opened. (and it was! ) The drive back to work took about 10...min (cold day - 38 degrees), and our fries were still warm. Thank you for taking such good care of our order. My turkey burger was seasoned perfectly.More
A small (seats 20), family-owned restaurant tucked into a strip near an antiques cooperative, the Gobble Stop was clearly a neighborhood favorite. Lots of pickup orders from regulars who (without exception) recommended the turkey tips, a couple other customers traveling through who asked for recommendations...of their own. One of the owners, Demond, and his family dealt cheerfully with a steady flow of business. Customers waiting interacted both with us and one another, and the food was delicious. 1 lb. of turkey tips, 2 4-oz. sides, and drinks cost under $25, and was plenty for my husband and me. We had beans (spicy!) and fresh collard greens as our sides. The turkey tips (the dark meat on the bird’s back) were tender and perfectly seasoned, but we enjoyed them with the mustard BBQ sauce, too. The collard greens were indeed fresh, a nice bright green and not overly salted. This could have been a faceless space, but for the decor. That it is not is due to a collection of original paintings by a church member, known for doing art projects in the St. Louis Museum, each with a 3-D component. No longer able to create due to illness, Demond’s mother told us, she is still clearly influential in their lives. I highly recommend a stop at the Gobble StopMore
Meat is great, never had an issue with that or the service but since COVID, my experiences have taken a turn. ANSWER THE DANG ON PHONE!!! There has been so many times I called and ended up choosing some place different because they don't answer...after many attempts to contact because the food is very good. I don't live near by, so pulling up then waiting 30+ mins for my order is not what i want to do. One day i did pull up and an older lady told me that they have young people that don't want to work, well get someone that does!! Family or not! I try to support but ya'll making it hard to do!More
My wife and I go to Barnes Jewish West hospital once a year for her doctor's appointment. We found the Gobble Stop Smokehouse only a small distance from Barnes. All the menu items are "to go" due to the pandemic. We had a really good...meal and enjoy supporting local and family owned business. We had the Veggie FriedSampler of fried cauliflower, sweet corn nuggets and fried green beans with sauce for $7.49. I ordered the Award Winning Smoked Wings (large) for $9.99 and my wife had the Smoked Pulledd Chicken Sandwich for $8.49. Mine came with 2 sides and she had one side included. It ended up being too much food for us but we enjoyed it! I think it's going to be a regular stop for us each trip to Creve Cour!More
We enjoyed our food from the Gobble Stop. I heard about this place and had to try it. They don't have any pork on their menu. I love this as we do not eat pork. You can't go inside because of COVID. A guy greeted...me outside and took my order. He explained that they were out of a few items. The food was great and so was the service. I wish they were open a little longer. I'm looking forward to try6the wings and turkey ribs.More
The turkey tenderloin sandwich is delicious. The current menu is limited due to the pandemic, but takeout is available and there are outside tables at a social distance. Can't wait for my next lunchtime visit..
Their smoked wings and turkey ribs are amazing! I also like their pulled chicken sandwich and sweet and spicy baked beans. Customer service is consistently great! They've won many awards for their BBQ!
Turkey Ribs and Chickens wings were good, tips were tough to eat, beans and slaw were pretty plain. It’s worth a try if you’re in the area.
This place is different. They were the first place I found that sold turkey ribs. Man, they are good. This is a must have if you live in the STL or in the STL for whatever reason. They only have the bird, no pig or...beef here. Who needs them, when you have my favorite in turkey ribs and the smoked wings. Ok, I almost forgot the corn nuggets. GO! GO! GO!More
I stopped here for lunch with a friend based on reviews. I had the wings (no sauce). They were delicious, smokey and cooked perfectly! I also had the coleslaw and green beans. Both sides were good! Worth going back for.
