I ordered coffee & dessert, creme brûlée to be exact and my husband ordered a steak & salad. My first cup of coffee was lukewarm and burnt tasting, I waived it off thinking perhaps it had been a little bit since the last cup was brewed. The next cup however, did not improve, which means even if it had been... More

In Columbia for a reunion and had reservations made for us. Decor is quaint and entertaining, service was quick as was seating. Conversation with others was a bit difficult as tile, hardwood floors, and talking of many makes volume a bit high. Menu was diverse, blue cheese salad tasty and filling but could have used a bit more dressing. Tomato... More

We had the price-fix menu and this was a real bargain. Mixed greens salad was delicious. Followed by beef spare ribs and mashed potatoes. Beef was extremely tender - just wonderful. Then creme brulee for dessert. On top of that they served a local Missouri dry white wine (did not even know they made wine in Missouri), which was a... More

Our dinner at Sycamore was fabulous. The caesars salad was enough for two and the Scallops and Short Ribs were a perfect combo to share. A unique surf and turf! Top this off with Blackcabra Argentina Malbec and friendly and attentive service for an excellent dining experience!

We enjoyed this restaurant. The food was good and the service was professional. They use local ingredients when possible. The menu wasn't huge but varied. The wine menu was limited.

After a day of meetings at the University, six of us went to dinner at Sycamore, as it was recommended by faculty in the Astronomy Department. The dining room itself is rather narrow but deep, which tended to give the impression that you were not sitting right next to neighboring diners. My only complaint is that the restaurant, like many... More

At the end of the meal, Colby, the waiter asked me: "How was it?" I replied "It was AMAZING." "WHAT was amazing?" "YOU were. The food was. You're excellent as what you do." "Thank you! It's my passion, as well as what pays my bills." 1/2 an oyster sandwich (quickly seared oysters on a chunk of wood-toasted bread with mixed... More

The sycamore restaurant is a fine dining experiences with really nice accommodating servers. They have a great menu with choices of seafood, steaks, lamb and other categories. The menu is a little pricey but worth it. A good list of nice wines. Friendly bar.

My husband and I went here for our lunch break. We had about an hour to eat lunch which should have been plenty of time. We walked in and were promptly seated, and our waiter brought our drinks. We waited for about 25 minutes, and our waiter never showed back up. The restaurant was not even busy. It looked like... More

We are very sorry. This is in no way typical. We have discussed the situation with the server, and we are confident the issue is corrected. More
