My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and we had a wonderful meal. Everything about our experience was good. A wonderful server, interesting menu options, expansive wine list and an inviting atmosphere. We both ordered the tasting menu and enjoyed everything we were served. This property has served the test of time and it was obvious why.

Came here for a lunch with a girlfriend and had the foie gras burger. The waiter said it was life changing and he did NOT oversell it. I ate the entire thing except the bun top. Fries were amazing. My friend got this mushroom pasta that was also fantastic. The server was very attentive- we will definitely be back!

We met friends for dinner earlier, but had a sweet tooth and wanted to stretch our legs before going back to our hotel. We found the right place. Fried blueberry pie with lemon cheesecake gelato and a tasty glass of Cabernet. And our waitress was both fun and helpful. A great nightcap.

I can only echo the many reviews already made for this establishment. The service was excellent and the food absolutely delicious. This is upscale eating and drinking done well. We had previously visited a sister restaurant (Acero) and found it to be excellent in all aspects too.

Went here for dinner and it was a great experience. The food was excellent; we all had the premium tasting menu ($50) and everything was well prepared and tasty, from the venison to the scallops. The wine pairing ($30) was well done and the pours were generous. Friendly and excellent service by Kayla. The restaurant is not large and always... More

Before penning the review, perhaps a comment for TripAdvisor: I don't think it's fair to ask someone up front if this is "one of the best meals you've ever had in a restaurant" and limited to only "yes/no" response. We have been fortunate enough to have eaten at three stars in Europe and places like Inn at Little Washington in... More

The Crossing is a white table cloth place. They treat you well. The service staff is high-end. The food is good and the wine list is pricey but excellent. There are better restaurants in St. Louis with imaginative chefs, but The Crossing in suburban Clayton is a good place to put on your list. The room is not large, and... More

Sometimes, getting some good food is enough, but turning the necessity into a lovely experience is what we found at The Crossing. All four of us were so totally satisfied with our dinner choices.
