This was our first visit to this local icon. The Route 66 decor was really nice and the menu was simple with good prices. Our sandwiches were nice sized and hot! The fresh cut fries were a little undercooked, the Suzy-Q's were actually seasoned curly fries, and the chicken fried steak was typical. With all that being said, I think we will stop in again for another visit.

We were a party of five that ate there on a Monday night but they were still very busy. It's a fun place to eat and look at the memorabilia. The onion rings were not my cup of tea but maybe some people like them. The other food we had was all great and came out fast. Our shakes took quite some time but they were very busy and looked to only have two servers and they were trying very hard. The rueben was very good.

Onion rings and French fries are made in house and very good. My husband has the Chubby Cheesy (double hamburger) basket and said it was a very good burger. I had the small Oriental chicken salad which was good as well. Service was very quick and checked on us twice. We will definitely go back as their menu has lots of options yet to be explored!

Potatoes are instant, gravy is out of a can, both were terrible. Chicken fried chicken wasn't bad but over cooked. Onion rings were same way, over cooked and hard. Wife had a large salad and they left the core from the head of lettuce in the salad plus she asked for a egg on the salad and they charged $2.29 for the egg. Very disappointed. Probably won't be back.

Stopped here for breakfast on our way to KC. The coffee was good and the meals were tasty. My husband had an omelet and biscuit and gravy. I had a skillet. The food was fresh, hot and good flavor. Portion sizes are large. Would return if we came back through Carthage.

My husband and I went there to have a meal and oh boy was it the best burger and and mushrooms I have ever had. My husband had the Mushroom Swiss Burger and Fries and neither of us walked away hungry or disappointed in either the quality food or service. Big Kudos to Iggy's Diner on being my go to place now. LOL

Came here Saturday morning before the business expo. Slid into their bar counter. Servers were flying around. Orders turned our fast but the staff was so busy they were not able to check in with tables. Saw several folks getting impatient. I got my own coffee and enjoyed my corned beef hash. Eggs and biscuits and gravy. Food was great diner fare. Would come back, especially during the week when it's probably not as busy.

Don't know about the food because we walked out because 4 other parties that arrived SEVERAL minutes after us were all serviced before us. We were sitting in the main aisle and had even ask the waitress where to sit when we came in.(So she knew we were there) Still, we set there when another party comes in and then another, another and another. We did finally get (Just) a menu and then we were ignored again while everyone else was taken care of.

First night in Carthage. I had done some checking and found Iggy's Diner. Whereas it is not a true relic, it looks like one. And I think it has been around long enough to almost qualify for it. It was Friday night, so kind of busy. And of course they had limited seating. And it seemed a bit short staffed. We both ordered burgers, fries and a shake. As stated it seemed they were a bit short staffed. And they were filling take out orders. We did not mind as we were on a mini vacation. We took the time to people watch and rest after a day's drive. The hamburgers were great. We did not get our shakes until after we had eaten. Which was ok as they became our dessert. The staff was very attentive and pleasant, even though they were busy. Fun place.

Went to Carthage for the Maple leaf festival and car show (big car show!). At breakfast here. Lots of selections, lots of food, and lots of savings. I had a scrambler, my wife had the biscuits and gravy. Both were excellent. Don't come expecting masks and social distancing, but the food is worth a trip.

Walk back in time when you drive up to this silver diner. You will be amazed by all the memorabilia on the walls. From Elvis to Route 66 artifacts you will be entertained. I had the open faced hot beef and hubby had the Reuben. We were both very pleased. Also had to get our son-in-law a tshirt.

Awesome little diner. Food was great (especially the Suzy Q’s) as were the two girls serving. One of the best diners we came across on our Route 66 trip. Thanks again!

Very good service and food. Place seemed clean as well. Onion rings, fries and chicken strips were all homemade and delicious. Will be back if in the area

I've ate here for years. Their food is consistantly great - especially breakfast, burgers, pork tenderloin sandwiches and chicken fried steak. It amazes me how rude and unfriendly the staff is. It is almost like they are doing it as a gimmick. If it is a gimmick then tout it more. If not, then folks need to smile more, maybe throw out a welcome here and there, and just pretend to be friendlier. I'll keep eating here. After all, the food is consistently good.
