I normally only read reviews but don’t write one, unless of course something is very bad. This is one of those times. My first time trying el Caporal I had the fajitas, the meat was bad and the overall taste was very bland. I only...at part of it. The next time I had the enchiladas. The tortilla was soggy like it had been sitting in water for while and the sauce was gross. To their credit the chips and salsa were good and the people working there were very nice. Everything else was bad. If you are looking for good Mexican food in Camdenton this is not it.More

My husband and I ate here and I had chicken enchiladas which was ok but my husband had The taco platter, he said it was awful and even got sick when we came home, I have never been impressed with this place, but we had...this discount card that the school here sells for a fundraiser, but bottom line is that we wont eat there again, but the margarita i had was good so I will give them that!More

My husband and I saw this restaurant from the Chinese restaurant across the street and came back to give it a try a couple of nights later. Good food, fast service and reasonable prices. Recommended

Been going to this restaurant weekly. Several weeks ago we ordered steak fajitas and they came out way too salty and the meat was old. We took two bites and set it aside. The waiter asked if something was wrong and we said yes the...meat is too salty and it's obviously old meat. We assumed they were trying to cover up the old meat with the salt. I asked him to taste it but he didn't. They when paying the bill, the cashier man asked how was everything? We told him about the meat and he kept his head facing down and didn't say anything after that. We used to go there at least once a week and considered ourselves regulars, but have found other Mexican options since they charged us full price for something that we couldn't enjoy. I will say this was the first time we had a disappointing meal in probably 20 visits. They need to take care of their regulars, not use old meat, be serious when asking "how was everything?", and make bill adjustments when appropriate.More

I walked a mile from my hotel, so I was thirsty. Great Dos Equis draft in frozen mugs. I asked about the shrimp diablo, so my server brought me out a dish of extra hot sauce that they use for Diablo Shrimp. Tasty. Hot. I...had shrimp enchiladas with great enchilada sauce, pico, guack, and rice. On a super hot dish. Love super hot food! Probably one of the better places to eat in town.More

This restaurant is always busy. They have expanded and can accommodate more clientele. Wonderful food and quite fast after ordering.

Authentic feel but tastes like Bubba Joe was cooking in the back. It tastes like the chef is dying to add flavor but too many people complained about seasoning so they stopped.

My Granddaughter & I had dinner together here in May, after a long hot day in Jefferson City at the State Track Meet. We were welcomed & seated as soon as we entered the door, the waiter delivered our drinks quickly & returned shortly to...take our orders, the food was great, the service could not have been better. If we are ever through Camdenton again we will make sure to eat here!More

We went mid afternoon for $.99 Margaritas (Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday 11am-9pm). We also had there complimentary homemade chips and salsa along with cheese and jalapeño nachos. There is no place that I have ever been that is better than El Chaporal! My only regret is...I live 9 hours away.More

They had limited outdoor sitting so I would think it would be if you sat outside.
