We like the concept of the Altenhof. It's a German eatery with an appreciative Fraulein in Charge-Ms Gertraude G. Santo. But this Irish gal likes the beautiful and romantic view and background music. My German husband likes the German beer, the hospitality, and diligent workers. We seek out the pizza when our son (23) and daughter(19) are with us. Our favorite... More

We had heard about the view and the pizza at the Altenhof Inn. We went there on Saturday, July 23,with the temperature 102 degrees. Much to our shock, while they have an inside seating area, it is closed off, I suppose to save money by not using the A/C. So, we were forced to sit outside in the sweltering heat,... More

We stumbled upon this little restaurant almost accidentally. Great food and a nice view of the lake. We love Table Rock for its differences from Lake of the Ozarks, but it can be challenging to find a lake view restaurant. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we felt this was a gem of a find and cant wait to go back.

I called ahead to see if we would need a reservation. Since we were dining early, we were told that we didn't need a reservation. What she neglected to tell me was there was no inside dining available as the room was reserved. I enjoy eating outside but not when it is humid and 100 degrees. There were ceiling fans... More

This restaurant is owned by a lady from Germany. She makes homemade pizzas and has some authentic German dishes.

I lived in Germany and was excited to have a place to get home cooked German food. We had to wait almost an hour and a half and our food was gross. All store bought and my reuben was served with baked lays! Waitress refused to bring out a glass to pour German beer in and instead brought out a... More

We lived in Germany for 3 years so to get a chance to taste German food again was wonderful. The food was awesome and the staff very friendly. The view was extraordinary. They have an option to order an extra plate, which I highly recommend as portion sizes are large. It was a little pricey, in my opinion, but totally... More

We read the reviews and we're excited to try this place. We read tgat it can get busy so we called ahead. Difficult to find, but once we did, found the scenery to be beautiful. We were seated outside in the 90 degree heat with no offer of an indoor option. Their menu is limited to a vast pizza list,... More

Our group was in Branson for a military reunion/rally. Most of us (30+ people) have not had German food in 25+ years. I called about a month before to ask if they could handle 20-25 people at once and the owner said yes but we would need to pre-order our meals. 2 weeks before our dinner I call again to... More
