The Friday night all-you-can-eat catfish dinner is a great deal. Their prices are economical and the food is made fresh.

Visited with a group and tried the country fried steak, country fried chicken, farmer's breakfast, harvester breakfast, and a cinnamon roll. Unfortunately, no one was bragging about their breakfast. The bacon was requested to be crispy, but instead was fatty and floppy which resulted in...over half getting thrown away. (Bacon thrown away!👎) Gravy was lukewarm. Country fried steak & chicken were not as tasty as we've had at other restaurants. Cinnamon roll was served cold (refrigerator cold) so don't expect a warm cinnamon roll with melting icing running down it. The icing was good here, but really cold. Coffee was brown hot water; it didn't have a coffee smell or taste.(Bad bacon and bad coffee = 👎👎) Really wanted to like this place, but not sure we will come back.More

So much great food for the price! 2 piece fried chicken mash-potatoes and gravy salad biscuit pie — all made fresh and two of everything with change from my $25.

Travelling Route 66, we’d identified Bourbon as a lunch stop as well as joining a section of the Route from Bourbon thru Cuba and beyond. There are two well rated restaurants on Trip Advisor. We chose the Barn & Grill. This was a proper old...town grill, which I’d never been lucky enough to visit. They place an importance on Jesus, which is okay. Our server was a good age, yet she was great and nothing was too much trouble. We had fried chicken and brunch. Both were excellent as was the coffee. We decided to share a piece of meringue pie, which was huge, fresh, homemade, cheap and delicious. We’ll probably never get back to Bourbon, unless we do Route 66 again, which is a shame, but if we do, we’ll return to the Bar & Grill.More

Very good simple food at a good price. Went for lunch and enjoyed the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. Good fresh salad and a nice choice of sides. Would definitely recommend.

We stopped on our way to Shannondale. It was wonderful! My husband had the catfish and said it was the best he has ever had! That being said he has had a lot!! The service was the best we’ve had in a while. Everyone was...happy and acted like they loved their jobs!More

We travel I44 frequently, and have for years, but have never stopped here. That mistake has been corrected! What a find!! Truly excellent food prepared well, served quickly and hot, very yummy. Small dining room but well worth a try. We’ll be back!

The Barn & Grill remains our go to when traveling through Bourbon on I-44. Saturday we were heading to Branson again and stopped in for lunch after briefly stopping at a place in Sullivan that also serves fried chicken. What were we thinking? Our waitress,...Hillary, and the rest of the staff were great as we've come to expect at the Barn. The only negative aspect may have been the size of the luscious fried chicken pieces but what the heck I ordered all you can eat ($9.99) and Hillary kept em coming. Extra highlights, 1) We introduced ourselves to a super nice Lutheran couple that arrived after us and now live in Bourbon but previously had STL County roots. 2) A guitar minstrel came in while we dined and sang us all a Christmas song. Great small place!More

Ate breakfast here on the way to the airport. Best I’ve had in a long time. Too much food. Couldn’t eat it all. Would highly recommend. In and out in a hurry. Not big enough for a large group. Maybe only 20 tables. Lots of...locals eat here. You could tell by all the visiting when they walked in.More
