Prok Schnitzel to die for. It's on the menu as "Pork Loin Sandwich," but I recommend ordering it as a plate. Other good choices, full bar, eat inside or outside.

We tried fried mushrooms, pork tenderloin, tilapia special, clam chowder. The tilapia also came baked potato. We should have brought more people with us to eat! Portions were GENEROUS! The food was awesome and these server was efficient and friendly. Loved it! The tilapia was...two large filets, and the tenderloin was amazing!More

Stephanie makes everyone welcome and provides the basis for a good meal in a warm atmosphere. Almost everything is hand cut and hand breaded and the fried mushrooms and onion rings are tasty. Our group of four had dinners: fried catfish, pork tenderloin special, fried...chicken chunks, and chicken cordon blu, all accompanied by wilted salad and baked potatoes. We all liked our wilted salads. The supreme sauce was a chicken broth based sauce which was a good complement to the chicken. The foods were fried, but not greasy. We drank Blue Moon beers and enjoyed a delicious meal with excellent service and a good view of the Osage river on a sunny January afternoon. Meals averaged $15 which included two sides.More

The food/drink selection is small, but what they have, they do incredibly well! Juicy burgers and delectable fried chicken. The service was friendly and excellent. I would highly recommend!

I am from Cornelia, Georgia. We were blessed enough to go to Johnny Macs with the Baird family from Loose Creek! It was wonderful with such delicious food, super service, and a delightful atmosphere! You might need to tweak the tea a bit, but LOVED...the evening with you! Thank you!More

We live at Lohman, MO but drive to Bonnots Mill to eat at Johnny Mac's often. Another couple is usually with us. The wilted lettuce is the best we've eaten anywhere. I love the lady ribeye. It's the best ever! We also like the fish...and fried chicken. Their french fries are also a favorite. Service is excellent. The building is historic and filled with neat objects. You can watch Amtrak and the freight trains go by. A really good restaurant in a quaint little town. Worth a drive!More

If you go to Bonnot's Mill, you will soon realize this is the only place in town to eat or even to buy any food or beverage. We were at a B&B on Saturday night and were told this was a pretty good place to...eat. However, we should have listened to the woman at the candle shop who told us the pork tenderloin was her favorite item on the menu. We both ordered dinners, I ordered the chicken cordon bleu and my boyfriend ordered the fried catfish. The pork tenderloin only comes as sandwich which is on a little separate menu. They have several beers on tap, more than one would expect for a place that size. The wilted salad was delicious and we were primed for the rest of the meal to be as good. The chicken was O.K. but the sauce that it was in was probably the worst sauce that I have ever eaten, it was sort of whitish grey and tasteless. My boyfriend's catfish was tough (how does one do that?) So, having gotten this far you are probably wondering why I gave it a rating of four. The place was packed by about 6:30 and almost everyone seemed to be ordering the tenderloin sandwich. It seemed to be about twice the size of the bun it came in. As we left I saw an article that they had actually won a contest for the best pork tenderloin in Missouri. Anyway, it is obviously very popular and I think we just didn't choose well.More

The food is all great, but the tenderloin sandwiches, fried mushrooms, onion rings & clam chowder are awesome! I also recommend the boiled shrimp & chicken cordon blu.
