I reviewed this restaurant two years ago after a visit for my wife's birthday. Since then it has been taken over by Tony and Lindsey Wallis and their chef son Dan and daughter in law Hayley. We again visited for my wife's birthday - a party of five (plus 5 month old baby grandson). The welcome was excellent, and we... More

We went for a family evening meal, 4 adults and a child (2), staff were very accomodating. We were provided with a table that did not interfer with other diners, bearing in mind we had a two year old. There is a wide selection on the menu. Food was very tasty and came reasonably quickly considering it was very busy.... More

I don't know how long the Cross Keys has been taken over and refurbished, it has been many years since we visited last. Love the décor. Food very good, not cheap, but you pay for what you get and we really enjoyed our food. So much so, we've been back twice already. Not a big choice, but the menu does... More

Visited here with quite high expectations! Had a starter of chicken liver parfait which was nice but at £6.50 a bit on the pricey side compared to other similar type establishments! For the main i had the sirloin steak - once again this was good but on the pricey side and compared to other similar places I have had better!... More

Fantastic food served by attentive helpful staff. The Cheese soufflé starter was outstanding and the prawn and salmon titan was thoroughly enjoyed by those who ordered it. The roast beef was cooked to perfection and was extremely tasty. My only negative comment would be more roast potatoes would have been nice but I couldn't manage a sweet so maybe not!... More

We had delicious dishes served by extremely friendly and helpful staff. The up-dated decor won't be to everyone's taste in such an old village but I liked it. On a Friday night it was busy but we still got a table with an hour's notice.

A colleague recommended this place...so glad he did! Curried parsnip soup, braised beef with potato mash, ribs with apple slaw, sticky toffee pudding. SO DELICIOUS. Located next to Minster church of St Mary's and five minutes from St Edith, Coates by Stow...be sure to visit both while you are in the area!

We booked a table for 4 for valentine's and it was the most beautiful meal i've had in a long time. Theres quite a variety on the menu and also specials on the board. I had beer battered fish and chips which was gorgeous and a was a really good size portion and the others had sirloin steak and the... More

We came here for a birthday meal. Lovely setting inside and out. The only problem we found the menus limited and confusing. But the food we chose was tasty and well presented. But a few more options would be nice. Will come again and recommend
