This evening I have experienced one of the worst meals and most awful experience of customer service. Arriving at the Coach I was served by the general manager. I asked for a Gluten free menu and was assured that although there was no specific menu, most dishes could be adapted to accommodate any dietry requirement. I was told there were... More

We had a meal for six here and everyone enjoyed it.To be honest i never expect too much for pub grub but this wasn't bad at all. The garlic prawns were all our starters which came with fresh bread, and the main we ordered were scampi 2salmon , 2 sirloin steaks and fish and chips which everyone enjoyed the bill came... More

Couldn't get a table where we wanted to go for Fathers Day so we thought we would give the Coach another try - Mistake ! For starters we had prawns in oil, tasteless, the bread that came with it was nice. For main four of us has roast which was just warm, beef was tough. We were a party of... More

Can I start by saying I have never felt the need to write such a damming review....We booked our first family meal at the coach and horses as a Father's day treat and can honestly say we have never experienced such poor service! Our waiter's behaviour throughout the meal was incompetent and unprofessional and he either lacks complete insight into... More

Nice looking pub about 7 mins from Watford. Easy to park. Had a toasted club sandwich which was served with tortilla chips and salad. Asked for the volume to be turned up for the football and they quickly obliged. Very friendly service. Nice outdoor area for when (if) the weathers nice. will definitely return

I visited the restaurant last week with my husband and it got off to a good start with being seated quickly and our drinks arriving but after that it went down hill perhaps due to a lack of staff. We skipped starters and ordered our mains which took 50 minutes to arrive, the table next to us were making a... More

I have been to the Coach and Horses on a number of occasions and have always had good food and service. However on Friday night I went with my daughter and friends and had the worst night ever in a pub/restaurant. Sadly this establishment is so eager to show the football and rake in lots of money from the extra... More

Turned up 10 mins early for our Sunday lunch booking and restaurant not ready, and bar had no orange juice. Our food order was taken quickly and we didn't have to wait long. Dinner was well presented, good sized portions and a really good price...

Description
The Coach and Horses on The Green has always been associated with travel and has been providing the families of Croxley Green with journeys since 1744. Whether enjoying lunch on the decking or a beer on the patio, dinner in the restaurant or a quiet pint in front of the fire, The Coach has something for everyone. The larger of the two pubs on the famous Green, it has been lovingly restored to former glories and enjoys an enormous outdoor seating play area for families where you can bask in the warmth of the friendly service. The food served is simple, tasty, hearty and nostalgic with an emphasis on sharing and there is a wonderful range of cask ales, continental beers and a fabulous wine list too.
