After 7 or 8 very good experiences at this restaurant, it earned my very positive review. Every trip to this restaurant has been very enjoyable. All of the food we have received was delicious. But beyond that, the venue is not NOISY. You can actually...eat really good food there, talk to your friends, and enjoy being there! What a nice change. P.S. They seemingly run your food freshly cooked from the kitchen to you. Hot and fresh out of the kitchen. Yumm For Italian food, this restaurant is very good food place with a relaxed atmosphere that I enjoy very much.More

Last Friday we helped move our son to Blue Springs near 10th street. Did a search for supper and Italian/pasta sounded great. I may never eat anywhere else when we return for visits! It's not JUST THE HOT GARLIC FRESH FROM THE OVEN BREAD KNOTS!!!!...The shrimp appetizer, calamari, and fried ravioli (never been a fan) these were fried but soft and full of filling, I'm a fan of this restaurant's now! There were 5 of us and 5 different dishes arrived. Everyone raved and plates were wiped clean (garlic bread knots again!) The trio with alla pana sauce was mine. It was fantastic. Everything tasted homemade and Pasta Granny approved. Desserts also very very good. Our server Taeghan was kind informative and provided excellent service.More

We visited tonight and Sergio was our server. He was being pulled in every direction but still managed to keep his composer and take care of his tables. He was very polite and personable. The Bida was hands down my new favorite pasta dish. Everything...was good to perfection.More

In town for a baseball tournament and took our kids there for dinner (close proximity to where we are staying). It was soooo good and even our pickiest of eaters was happy. Clean and “Covid friendly”, and our waitress was fabulous. I don’t typically write...reviews, but this place deserves it. I agree with other reviews, the outside was deceiving but the food made up for it tenfold. Fingers crossed baseball brings us back here in the future!More

We’ve probably driven past this place dozens of times in the past 2 years. For whatever reason(s) it never came to mind when we were deciding where to go out to dinner. Finally, we decided to try it based solely on the Trip Advisor reviews....We’re really glad we decided to try it. As another reviewer mentioned, the inside is totally different from the outside looks. They’ve done a great job with touches like faux stone columns, fake exposed bricks and frescoes. The real reason for going was not the looks but the food...and it was really good. My wife had the chef’s special, chicken and shrimp in a brandy cream sauce over spaghetti. The sauce was unique and extremely tasty...not too heavy but will full bodied flavor. The chicken was good but the shrimp were great. I had the Tour of Italy sampler with chicken Parmesan, lasagna and spaghetti in an Alfredo sauce. All 3 items were flavorful and nicely spiced. I’m always on the lookout for a good Alfredo sauce and this was one of the best. I have to say though, given a choice between the Alfredo and the Brandy cream sauce of my wife’s dinner, I would take the Brandy cream. Too full to eat desert at the time, I was still interested to try the Lemoncello Cheesecake so I got one to go. I was surprised whennI opened it at home to find the cake was more of a traditional yellow cake but with a lemon icing. Whole it was very good, it wasn’t what I pictured as cheesecake. That is the most negative thing I can say about the experience. The service was great...just enough checking on us without being intrusive. I would give them a 4.5 if possible. The only reason to not give a 5 is we had an incredible dinner at another Italian restaurant in downtown a Kansas City that was a little better than Tuscany’s. I think we have found a favorite new Italian restaurant that’s within a reasonable distance. I highly recommend checking it out.More

This restaurant has been open for a couple of years and I used to always pass it up because from the outside it looks like a fazoli's or something like it. But after getting bored with most of the eatery's we decided to give it...a try. When we walked inside the vibe changed immediately because of the soft sounds of Frank Sinatra playing. It's a relaxed atmosphere and the food is amazing or atleast what I have had on two different occasions is. My wife is not a huge fan of Italian food like I am bit oir second time to go was her suggestion. That lets me know it's not just me. I love Italian food and may not know the best but I will say this is the best I've had East of Kansas City MO. Give them a try.More

I'd like to give Tuscany a good review. I've eaten there 3 times. Once was great, the other 2 average. The food isn't bad when it wasn't great, it was OK. The service was good. The time it was great, I wanted to come back...often. I'll probably try again and see how it goes.More

The meal itself was very affordable. The affordability certainly goes a long way towards the four star review. The food itself was good. I enjoyed the bread before hand. Maybe I need to try something different but the chicken Parmesan just didn’t wow me.

My first review on Trip Advisor I couldn't say enough good things about Tuscany Italian Restaurant. This time, our second visit, I can't say anything good. It was a Saturday night. The 1st thing that bugged us was they were "out" of chardonnay wine, our...favorite. We said something to the effect of why would you be out of a popular wine and on a Saturday night. We thought good grief, go to the liquor store and stock up until your distributor comes around again. We let that one pass and we settled on a bottle of Chianti. Second thing that bugged us came when we ordered salads to go with dinner. "I'm sorry, we're out of ranch dressing." Again, why, and another why not go to the local store, pick up some dried Hidden Valley and pass it off as your own. Who's to know the difference. Well, anyway, we settled for what I now call a putrid dressing that was a mixture of Marinara sauce and ranch. YIKES ... it was so awful, and now we had 2 ruined salads. Third thing that bugged us came when my husband got his dinner. He ordered Chicken Pomodoro. The noodles were swimming in sauce plus they were chewy and tough, my husband said the chicken must have been road kill because it was sliver thin thus difficult to find. My dinner was ok ... not great like the 1st time but it was good. Fourth thing that bugged us is when we came to paying the bill. The 1st time we went to Tuscany and we started to pay we noticed we had been overcharged $5.00 for the bottle of wine. Waitress apologized and gave us credit. Would you believe the same dang waitress did it to us the 2nd time again. Now that's pretty hard to believe another "mistake." This time my husband just circled the overcharge on the ticket and left no tip. We'll NEVER go back!!!More

We went for lunch and immediately loved the atmosphere. The colors of the interior décor were lovely, as were the wall murals painted to resemble brick, stone, and marble. We especially appreciated the temperature of the room, which was comfortably pleasant. Usually I absolutely freeze...inside most restaurants, but this dining room was neither cold nor warm--it was just right. Also, the overhead music was good old nostalgic melodies by Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Andrea Boccelli, etc.--in other words, it wasn't blasting rock music being forced on us, which would have completely destroyed the Italian vibe. As for the meal, we found our manicotti and fettucini alfredo with chicken to be just average. Nothing wonderful there. The complimentary bread was appreciated, but on the bland side, as was the dipping oil, and we didn't think to add to it from condiments on the table, as another reviewer suggested. The cheesecakes we both had for dessert, however, were really great. They were the real thing, not industrial or cheap stuff. I don't know if they made it in-house or brought it in, but either way, the cheesecakes were the best part of our meal. As for the service, unfortunately it was not very good. There were only the two of us and one other table occupied at lunchtime on a Friday but we had to wait about 15 minutes for the waiter to refill our empty glasses, and that was only after I waved him over. Still, he was pleasant and very nice. He just needed to be a bit more attentive, especially when there was no excuse I could see for him not to take better care of us. Bottom line, we might try this restaurant again to sample two more dishes (and more cheesecake), just because other reviewers had such great experiences here. They got the ambience perfectly right. Maybe next time, the service and the food will be better.More

Restaurant: Tuscany Italian, Blue Springs – we absolutely loved it!!! I had the Chicken Capellini (sautéed in olive oil, garlic, basil, artichoke hearts, spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, mushroom, onions, and caper in a white wine sauce over penne pasta (I changed the pasta to spaghetti). It...was to die for! My husband had the Tour of Italy (Chicken Parmigiana with lasagna and side of fettuccini alfredo) He loved his too! My husband probably makes the best Chicken Parmigiana on the planet. My opinion of course but it’s true. HA! Anyway he relished his dinner, every bit of it and never once did he compare it to his own recipe. Before you order they bring out homemade bread and dipping oil (the oil we thought needed some spices so we conjured up our own with what was on the table and it was delicious ... and they bring you all you can eat. (oink) I should also mention the employees were great ... very attentive. A very, very pretty Italian atmosphere inside the restaurant. Also the wine was very good too. Ambience: We really didn’t know what to think when we pulled up to Tuscany ... only 3 – 4 cars in the parking lot and that was at 6:30. We almost left because of that and also because there were no lit-up signs, bells and whistles to make you want to enter but we decided what the heck, let’s just do it. Guess Thursday is just a slow night for them ... who knows! Reviews we read were excellent so we're so glad people took the time to share their experiences. As a result we read them and took our chances. We are so glad we did! We live about an hour away from Tuscany but that distance will be NO problem ... we're already hungry to go back!More
