We Walked 2.5 miles here from Oswestry camping and caravan club site. Our Dog was allowed in the bar area. A really lovely imaginative menu and a good choice of real ales. Husband had liver and bacon and mash and I had gnocchi with spinach and mushrooms. Both meals were huge and delicious. We also shared a portion of chips.... More

The setting is very nice. I was with a friend and a child. My friend had a chicken burger. This was enormous and a proper piece of chicken, accompanied by a nice fresh salad. I had a Tex mex, which was a succulent piece of chicken covered in chilli. Maybe some guacamole or salsa would have been nice but otherwise... More

Fantastic place for a Sunday lunch. The platter was amazing with three different roasts. The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to help.

Arriving at 5.30 p.m. on a Friday evening for an early bite to eat with a friend, I stupidly assumed we wouldn't need to book a table - how wrong I was. We were lucky that they were able to accommodate us on the last table, which is in the main entrance hall/bar area, which was fine while it was... More

We were looking for a pub for Sunday lunch for a group meet in March and came across this lovely pub. Best Sunday roast I have had and staff very efficient. Look forward to visiting again soon

Visited on Valentines night and were greeted warmly and shown to our table with our drinks which was a good start. The table looked a little bare with just the plain wood and a single red rose slowly dying with no vase or water. The addition of some table linen or even some decent table mats would have helped. We... More

So glad we finally popped in! Set in lovely walking country, this pub is too unpretentious to be called gastro but the food doesn't know it! Had a lovely sunday lunch, satisfying and delicious, with good service. There was no Master of the House presence, which was unusual for a pub of this caliber, but the staff were friendly and... Service: it isn't all that for service but then again I don't think it needs to be. Not overbearing but equally a little more attentive would be a minor improvement. Food: Good quality, I'd hope local, fresh and hearty. Exactly what I'd hope for (and more) from a traditional Pub - certainly need more of this type of establishment and... More

Not visited the old three pigeons for a number of years as it is not exactly local to us. However, we decided on a family night out to celebrate my daughter getting a new job and thought we'd go for an old favourite. It didn't disappoint. Food excellent, lovely atmosphere, accommodating staff who moved us from a table which was... More
