We local ramblers were booked at another local pub for a morning walk but were let down. I contacted Pam the day before we were due to walk hoping that they could provide lunch at short notice. Pam was most helpful & although there was another walking party booked, she said that she would be able to accommodate us. On... More

Popped in just on the off chance and had a pleasant experience in the nothamptonshire countryside. The staff were great and catered brilliantly for our newborn. Thank you Kyle and sorry I forgot my rolo brownie twice

We took our young children here recently and enjoyed a nice glass of wine while they enjoyed home cooked child friendly food (fresh pizza and ham eggs & chips). We also ate here in the restaurant which was made cosy by the fire. The food was excellent value and the staff were very attentive. I would recommend this pub for... More

Our local with new owners. Keep meaning to spend more time here but never find the time. It's a great village pub with the owners working really hard to provide great food, drink, and atmosphere. I love the fact that they have the fire going throughout winter.

I visited with a large group of friends (20+) for Sunday lunch. The management were extremely accommodating, opening up early for us so that we could use the facilities prior to our pre lunch walk. The staff are young, polite and even though we were a large group the service was very efficient. The food was excellent and there was... More

Went here for Sunday lunch with a large group of friends (20 or more!) after a bracing and muddy walk! The service was excellent, no-one had to wait for their meals longer than anyone else. Mountains of vegetables with the main courses. Staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful. The pub itself was lovely with an open fire, comfy chairs... More

I have been to the Kings Head a few times with a walking group. Always excellent food and service. Very much recommended. On this occasion i had Brie wedges to start, then Seabass with unlimited vegetables for main and Chocolate Rolo brownie with fudge sauce and ice cream for desert. This is one of my favourite places to eat.

Organised another walk today, and the pub was again so accommodating. They open again for us to use their facilities. Came back had a quite drink in the bar before being shown our table. Our numbers had changed from the original estimate, and they coped admirably. The food was generous and everyone enjoyed their meals. I think we covered every... More
