The Bell at Ramsbury is not cheap, but then I would not expect this warm, stylish and lovely pub restaurant to be. It is, however, in a beautiful village that has the river Kennet flowing through it and country walks in abundance; I highly recommend the circular walk to Littlecote Manor and back followed by either lunch in the Bell's... We popped into the Bell for a meal again. Staff friendly and helpful. The food is always very good - but order an extra veg side if you are eating a meal without chips. Menu not extensive, but allows them to prepare and present well. One of our favourite places to eat.

A good reputation for The Bell... Food is fresh and well cooked with the quality and menu trying to decide if is excellent pub food or good restaurant food... for example burger and fish & chips on the menu along side some really good dishes more akin to a good restaurant. Service is good and surroundings are cosy reflecting a... More

Had sunday lunch here following a walk. 3 courses £25, for good quality food 3 different roasts, fish option and veggie option. The food really was excellent, well cooked and varied in style. Good range of beers and wines. Only slight issue was only one small bowl of vegtables arrived, and when we asked for some more, which were happily... More

We came here as a family last friday evening based on the TA review - its excellent - the service was very good and welcoming to our 2 children and they were pleased to accomodate the kids requirements. Simple menu of well prepared fresh produce - the crab spring roll starter was a highlight for me. The bar was packed... More

Situated in the centre of the village of Ramsbury. This is an interesting pub/restaurant. The owners have made one of the bars a sort of local coffee house type of thing by the looks of it. the front of the pub is quite informal too with booths near the bar. There is a large formal dining area as well, which... More

We stayed for the weekend (the Grouse Room), and had a delightful stay. The atmosphere of the restaurant is calm, and the accoustics allow for private conversation without others listening in. There was a pleasant hum of conversation as we tucked in to dinner (delicious creamy leak and potato soup, pork belly), and the staff were attentive without being annoying... More

Great pub grub in the bar and excellent food in the restaurant. Priced reasonably, but need to order a side veg dish with some smaller dishes. Usually 4 ales on - mostly from the local brewery.

I have visited the coffee shop on a few occasions recently and have to say what a pleasure it is to meet friends there. The lady who served us on all trips is friendly and very efficient. The home made cakes are incredible and the breakfasts are lovely. The atmosphere is very welcoming and even when we have arrived for... More

This was our second dinner visit to The Bell. It's a lovely pub; really well maintained and friendly staff. The menu seemed smaller than last time, but there was something for everybody and we thought the more limited choice might be reflected in even better dishes (they were excellent before). The food was pretty good, if a bit pretentious. My... More
