The food really is of the highest standard. Scallops and fish amazing. It's just great ingredients done well. Best place for miles in that area. Good job guys!

We found the Red Hart mainly as it was in a great location for where we wanted to meet up. Despite being a bank holiday we had a family meal for 7 people. The room felt open and was modern in layout. The service was warm and friendly. The menu was good and the choice of specials was superb. Burger... More

I visited this pub saturday there was a chalk board outside saying food served till 3 p.m i walked into the bar area and their was a man behind the bar who looked incredibly stressed which was surprising seeing as their was only 2 customers in the building, i asked to see the menu and he looked at me wide... Lovely traditional pub that has been renovated to give a mix of older and modern touches. The staff were very welcoming for our dog, who was allowed to be in the main area as well as the bar - they even went out of their way to give him a dish of water and a good pat. We visited on... More

We have eaten here any time we go up the M5 as the food is so good! I had the pigs head which consisted of several different pork cuts in a rich sauce which Ive gotta say was sublime.... The service is very good and the chef Darren often comes out to check everything is good (better than a 15... More

We called in midday following a dentist's visit. A lively dog walk apparently caused the usual front of house waitress to be delayed so we were treated to service by the chef himself! A pleasant restaurant - no need for the log fire today as it was a gorgeous day. We ordered a Tapenade as a pre-starter, pitta bread slices... More

We felt a bit pounced on! The atmosphere was strange and there was loud thudding coming from somewhere? Sounded like a band rehearsing upstairs? Not sure. The Hungarian lady was very good taking my steak off the bill due to it being quite fatty but I felt she was too much! Different people coming to the table asking the same... More

Its been a little while since we visited the Red Hart. We're glad we've returned! A warm welcome, great food, good beer and crisp cold dry white (French) wine at £16.00 a bottle. A Sunday treat! As a friend of mine would say, it's a "Ray Leonard, punches above its weight" Spot on!

We called in for a drink and bar snack on Saturday lunchtime. The bar was cozy, with a log fire burning - not sure about the other rooms though, as the central heating was turned off. The bar menu is quite wide ranging and fairly priced. We had scampi and whitebait, both served with skinny fries. Everything is freshly cooked,... More

This is not the first time we have been here; we save it for special occasions, as it is so lovely. This time it was my birthday, and a surprise, as my better half booked it. We didn't tell them it was my birthday, but on arriving the girl serving at the bar noticed a "birthday badge" I was wearing... More
