We were in Ballwin area and could not get into our favorite place, so we opted for Circle 7 Ranch nearby off Clayton Rd. It was still happy hour, so select apps were $6 and there were reduced drink prices. In addition to some apps, we ordered some of their burgers, which run from about $10 to $12 for most. My "Rise N Shine" was terrific with its fried egg, bacon, cheese and 2 patties on their branded bun. Alex R. did a great job serving us adeptly. The best part however was just not having to wear our masks, since we're vaxxed. Large diverse menu with many good drink choices.

Fun outdoor family dinner

We wanted to take the family out for a birthday dinner after all kids activities and decided to go to Circle 7. It was completely packed, and even calling ahead still took 30 minutes to get a table. Beyond this, the meal was perfect. We ate outside overlooking a little lake, had great and prompt service and top notch food. In fact, they had accidentaly forgotten the bacon on my bacon burger, so brought me bacon on the side (also offering to bring a whole new burger) and ended up giving us an entire dessert for free. The dessert was a very nice gesture, huge and delicious (especially with 3 kids!). Between the service, food and general experice, it was a wondeful meal.

The food is delicious, but what may prevent us from returning is the lack of good service we have had on all of our visits....about five. This week, we waited over thirty minutes before the server took our orders. It is near impossible to find parking here as well. Save your money and try a smaller bar and grill where you will receive superior food and service.

Service was good but food was poor.

The service was good but the food was disappointing unless you get a burger or wrap which is what I should have done. I got the zwickel beer batter fish which was a big mistake. I usually don't say anything and can find most meals okay. I have eaten a lot of fish dishes and this is the worst I have ever had. The batter was extra thick, salty and full of oil. I removed all the breading just to try and eat the fish. The tartar sauce tasted like mayonnaise only. Long story short - don't get the fish. Please don't put fish on the menu if you can't do it right. My wife got the Statler Chicken which she stated was very dry but the potatoes were good. We both came away with the same opinion that we would not be returning again. This was our experience that may be of help to others.

Amazing Food & Staff

I have eaten here on a couple of occasions and the food is always delicious. Had the turkey burger the last time and it wasn't just a frozen patty! The fries have a great seasoning on them. The staff is amazing.... Thanks Caitlin for doing a great job. I can tell they also appreciate the local law enforcement! Will definitely be back!

Consistently A Great Experience

We frequent this restaurant and have never been disappointed with the food or the service. They have one of our favorite burgers in the area. This time we ordered a classic and a #25 burger. Both were hot, tasty and cooked to our preferred temp. The tater tots and sweet potato fries complemented both burgers. We also had a grilled honey glazed shrimp appetizer which we highly recommend. Always a great atmosphere with smiles and helping hand from all of their staff. A great reflection of management / ownership that the service staff really seems to enjoy working there.

Nice date night outside on the patio

We were looking for a nice outdoor date environment that was not too stuffy, and this was a great experience. We had good and fast service, delicious food and good beer. With that being said, take note that the drink menu prices were wrong by several dollars per drink, and the sangria seemed to be no more than fruit juice mixes. Other than these, it was really a seamless experience on their nice patio. We would definitely come back again.

Friendly staff, great burgers.

There is seating inside and outside. We sat inside since it was going to rain and each booth inside has it own beer tap with three choices of beer. We ordered burgers and they were all tasty. The staff work together to ensure you are getting the best service, so we had at least four different people waiting on us. I will definitely be eating here again!

Just too busy!

We've eaten here a couple of times now when we were in town for Christmas. And each time it's been ridiculously busy. So much so that it is not enjoyable. Maybe it's better at other times, but I don't think so. This year we called ahead to get our name on the list (as they suggested), and we showed up earlier (also as suggested), but we still ended up crammed in the area near the hostess stand waiting 45 minutes for a table. Once we got our table, we waited a little while again for the server, who was purely business. Fortunately, we were there with good friends, because the experience was a big zero. The food was decent, but nothing great, and just not worth the hassle, in my opinion.

Great party patio with excellent service

We had a great experience here on the patio for a surprise birthday party. Service was amazing for such a large group as ours, probably over 60. Drinks and food were served efficiently, friendly, patient servers, and above average food.

Tasty foods with a few twists - ask for Ali!

Excellent food and super fun service. Ali, our server, was very attentive and a great menu advisor. Get the corn fritters as an appetizer. Enjoyed the patty melt and the farm hamburger. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty. A good experience!

Wonderful dinner after our daughter's graduation

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Current Review, May, 2023 - - - A wonderful dinner after our daughter's high school graduation. - - - We've enjoyed several great date night dinners at Circle 7 in Ballwin, and a couple lunch dates at Circle 7 in Des Peres. Our daughter graduated high school this week; the celebration was wonderfully prepared and performed; the girls looked great in their dresses as they received their diplomas and Crescents. The ceremony was in the evening and after all the socializing and picture taking, we needed dinner. Circle 7 came to mind. When we arrived we were seated right away. Caitlin was a gracious and friendly host. My wife and our daughter are gluten intolerant and I joined them ordering off the GF menu. We enjoyed: - alcohol-free Mojitos... one blueberry flavored and one mango flavored - a #25 burger for our daughter, on a gluten-free bun.... two Angus patties with all the toppings on top... and fried on the side - ahi tuna tacos, with rice and beans on the side All the food was wonderful... we arrived hungry and happy and left filled and happy. Thank you, Caitlin and Circle7! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Previous Review, December, 2020 - - - A great place for a date night. My wonderful wife and I ventured out for another date night... to Circle 7 Ranch. While it was "different" walking through a restaurant with a mask, so be it; ask to remove at our socially distanced table; wait staff remained masked all night. Order by scanning the QR code and reading the menu on your cell phone. We were walk-in and thankfully the wait was only around 10 minutes. The atmosphere was energetic and good to be a part of. For dinner we enjoyed: - Ahi tuna tacos - Statler chicken - a Southern Stamped, two straws :) Then, take home to the kids fish tacos, and also the brownie delight, and wish you had ordered two so you could have enjoyed some of the brownie and ice cream, too. :) Realize that the night with you wonderful wife at Circle7 helped return life to a little more normalcy on a September night. Thank you, Circle 7 Ranch (in Ballwin). - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Previous Review, April, 2019 - - - Great place for date night with my wonderful wife My wonderful wife and I have been making an extra effort to have more frequent date nights, and that is proving a good thing for she and me and for all four of us in the house. For this date night, she proposed something new - Circle 7, as we have heard good things from friends. And... the friends are right! While the wait was a bit long, that was ok... the weather was incredibly nice and we just walked around outside. Once inside we enjoyed well-made gin and tonics, and also had some very good spinach and artichoke dip for appetizer. For the main course, my wife enjoyed gluten-free chicken and I had a really good burger and fried... nice! We left with smiles from good food, and even moreso from just being together. The atmosphere in Circle7 is a good one to feel like you're among other couples, and also families, just enjoying night out. We recommend Circle 7! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Circle 7 Ranch in Ballwin

Dined at Circle 7 Ranch in Ballwin last weekend with extended family. There were four adults and three kids in our group. We were seated at a table clear at the back of the restaurant, which was probably a good fit for us since we had just been to the park and the kids were wound up. Our server came around quickly and provided us with the menus. We did order drinks and an appetizer for the table right away and all of those items were brought to the table in a good amount of time. Ordering our meals was a pretty fast process, too. What came out of the kitchen for our entrees was wrong in 3 of 7 instances. This is pretty frustrating when we did not have masks on at the table and the server repeated everything back correctly. Not the best situation when we had three hungry kids and all of their meals were the ones that were incorrect. Also, due to the delay in getting what they ordered, none of the three kids ate much of their food - a big waste! I actually did quite enjoy my Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich, but my husband had the same and his chicken breast was double the size of mine. It was just odd - I know that it is not a one size situation when you get proteins in from a vendor but it was a strange choice to send out two that were significantly different in size to the same table in the same order for neighboring guests. In any case, while I did not think the prices were terrible - though it is basically fancy pub food - just the overall experience was a bit of a disappointment. I would definitely not chance a return if there were kids in the party and Circle 7 would not be a first choice because I think we can get the same quality food and service for a little (or maybe a lot) less.
