We visited as party of a birthday party celebration. I am gluten free and vegetarian and there is always something lovely to eat here! Also loads of gluten free puddings. So lovely to find a pub that caters for gluten free and has such a nice atmosphere. It is now one of my favourite pubs in the area. I will... More

5 of us went to the Church House Inn for a Sunday Lunch in Feb'17. We went with Mother in Law (and dog). We had booked so got a lovely round table in the window - close to the roaring fire. Dogs are welcome but ours does sit quietly under the table! We were attended to quickly and drinks -... More

We went with friends - who had booked - for a Sunday lunch-time roast. The food was lovely with freshly cooked vegetables. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Everything was reasonably priced. The place was busy, so booking - especially for Sunday lunch-time - appears essential.

Went on a Sunday evening and ordered their roast, they had run out of both pork and lamb so roasts must have been selling well. Everything was lovely with the exception of the roast potatoes which were what I would describe as 'leather jackets'. A shame as the rest was lovely as was the dessert.

Nice to find somewhere open on a Monday in February and we had a warm welcome. Had duck breast (very nice, large portion) and seafood symphony (nice but too creamy and rich and served only with bread so nothing to cut the richness). Reasonably priced, very friendly. Narrow Devon roads to get there though.

Great Sunday roast, generous portions, plenty of meat especially if you go for a mixed roast and really good value as well. Friendly staff, good beer.

Tucked away in this tiny village, with food you cannot fault, this is a perfect treat for lunch or a large party gathering. Now we have retired our hobby is eating out, usually twice a week. The menu here is exceptional and I have never seen such a vast and varied selection on the 'Specials' board, a treat to behold.... More

Great experience at The Church House Inn. We were visiting to celebrate my husband's grandfather's 89th birthday. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating; to the point of providing a not on the menu option for the birthday boy. The food itself was very good: fresh local produce reflecting seasonal availability, along with traditional favourites; all being served in very... More
