On the company credit card: got great appetizers, the steaks were good. It was fun. On my check, I looked at the ribeye and my wife and I left in sticker shock. Got the same sized ribeye about 2 miles away for $5.00 less.

A very well run restaurant with a menu where you will find numerous things to love. Steaks are top notch, as is the seafood. The salads could be better, but we don't go here for rabbit food. Service was fine. Very welcoming and appreciative of our business.

This was our first time eating at this restaurant. We really enjoyed the food. He had catfish plate and I had the Veranda Chicken. We will definitely eat there again.

This was just not up to expectations. Adequate, but slow service. Food came out with cold sides, some sides were missing. There wasn't anything that truly wowed me, although the appetizers were better than the entrees. Too bad. I probably won't be back.

My favorite restaurant in Starkville. Not a trip goes by that we don't go it there for lunch, dinner, or just a drink. Great place to entertain friends.

We had a very good meal. I liked all the options on the menu as well as the specials. The wait staff was friendly and able to answer questions about the fare. Definitely worth going back again.

Went to Starkville to look at apartments for my nephew. Met a friend who works at MSU for lunch. He suggested The Veranda. I had the Shrimp and Grits. Will definitely go back when visiting Starkville.

This really could be the best food in town. Will you pay for it? Yes. Definitely. But it is absolutely incredible fresh, vibrant, American fare that I haven't found an equal to around Starkville. This is the current go-to for a fancy meal with my wife. If they're serving the duck, don't hesitate!

The Veranda is worth visiting for the peanut sauce and spring rolls alone. The Gorgonzola salad is good, the shrimp and grits is good, the duck is good, the chicken is awesome, the pasta is great-you probably see where I'm going with this...everything is good.

Just off the south edge of the MSU campus, near the vet school and the Franklin Institute, The Veranda is one of what are arguably the three best fine dining restaurants in Starkville. (Restaurant Tyler and Harvey's being the other two.) While I have never waited long for walk-in table, this restaurant can get quite busy, especially when the university... More
